Male dominated the first half being up by as many as 16 and went into halftime up 11. But Eastern went on a run and cut the lead to 5 in the 3rd quarter. Eastern got it to a one point deficit with under 2 minutes to go with the ball but couldn't capitalize. With about 10 seconds left and Male up 2, Ben Holman missed two freethrows but Male's Ross Herman got the offensive rebound and was fouled. He hit 1-2 of freethrows to put Male up 3. Eastern's Robert Buckner barely missed banking in a 3 pointer at the buzzer. Eastern was led by Buckner with 19. Male was led by Forrest Smallwood's 15 and Doug Beaumont's 19. But to me the player of the game was Ross Herman who ended up with 17 points, with many of those coming at key moments in the game, to go along with the big offensive rebound at the end of the game. A great came by both teams. Male looked great in the first half. Eastern could have easily folded it being down double digits but fought back. Male has big momentum going into the final week of the regular season.

Sounds like a great game. I think both teams have legit chances to make noise in march.

Male could do some real damage in the Sweet 16 if they get there it sounds like!
