I understand Fern Creek came from behind 15 points to take this one. I also heard there was an altercation afterward involving players from both teams as well as Iroquois fans (game was at Iroquois). Can anyone elaborate on this? No wild rumors, and no names unless we can confirm official action has been taken.

I heard that after the game, Fern Creek's players were walking to the locker room when Iroquois players and some fans jumped them from behind. Fern Creek had to be escorted to the bus out the back door. Somethings must have happened during the game, I guess maybe taunting and trash talking was going on. Whatever happened, I hope the right punishment is laid down. You always hate to hear when something like this happens.

Agreed. It reflects poorly on both schools, and there is no room for it in HS sports.

 

Anything on any suspensions? This would obviously complicate things for both schools w/re to postseason, I would think.

I heard that one kid from Iroquois was suspended but not sure if anyone else. It would kill the schools if players were suspended. Could they suspend them for some of the postseason games? If so, that could kill a team like Fern Creek, who is in serious contention to win the region.

From the way I understand, it would only be for regular season. The suspension could carry over into the beginning of next season. Not sure how this would be handled in the case of a senior.
