Besides Boone Co., no school that I know of is as tied to the power ground game as the Bellevue Tigers. Traditionally Bellevue would grind out victories w/ the old power I and buck here..buck there. They've had some good QBs, but the bread and butter was the ground game. So, I looked at the KHSAA statistical leaders so far this year and was completely blown away.

QB Tyler Ackerson is AVERAGING 297 ypg through the air through 4 games. Bellevue wouldn't pass for that in some seasons. I think that this is awesome. They also have two of the leading receivers in the state.

I haven't seen any mention of this so far on here. Wanted to give some props to the Bellevue team and staff for turning a 180 on perception.

Have to agree completely. They are the best 1-3 team out there. Poinsett among Class leaders in receiving and Ackerson among STATE leaders in passing.

We saw them against Gallatin County was was very impressed with the way they play. Add this to the mix.

THEY HAVE 21 KIDS ON THE ROSTER.

Coach Poynter has done an incredible job. They changed offensive schemes this year. They should host a playoff game this year.

Ironically, there was an article on this same theme today.
