Ryle 1 Beechwood 0 (JV)

Featured Replies

Never seen anything like it. Complete game by Smith at Ryle and the Beechwood pitcher. Combined 4 hits. The game took 1HOUR 15 MINUTES to complete 7 innings! Nice game by both teams. Each pitcher threw roughly 70 pitches

Beechwood pitcher was Junior Miller. Great throwing by Smith and Miller. Hitting was rare for Beechwood as Smith held them to 3 hits and 0 runs!

Hitting wasn't all that common for Ryle either. :lol2: Just three hits for Ryle as well, but two come in 1st inning with big one being RBI single by Craven. Great performance by both pitchers - Smith has been lights out for Ryle all season.

Beechwood had runners on 2nd with one out twice and then on 3rd with no outs. Base running errors and perhaps a bit of impatient coaching lost this one. The game only took 1:20 to play. Alex Miller was the Beechwood Pitcher. Sucks to pitch a complete game 3 hitter and lose. He and Hyde have been excellent. Gotta get some offense going.

I can't believe Ryle can leave that kind of pitcher at the JV level. One Beechwood player got all three of their hits. He shutdown some very good hitters that have hit at Varsity Level this year.
