Ballard 59 Male 49

As I type this, the Ballard students are chanting their chants at the size able contingent from Male that showed up for this one. Ballard's talent was ultimately too much to overcome. The Bruins were relentless with pressure defense, forcing the Bulldogs to turn it over more than 20 times.

Quentin Snider led all scorers with 18 points. Lavonne Holland added 14 for the Bruins.

But the most impressive play today came from Male's Steven Julian, who had 14 points and 8 rebounds. Great game. He's a junior, so with Lambert graduating, this will be his team next year.

Another note: Ballard freshman Malik Dow had a great game with 4 points and 3 rebounds all in the first quarter. Really looking forward to his future.

Ballard shot just over 33 percent from the field; really struggled to find the basket in the first half.
