Male 60 Seneca 55

Don't have any details on this one. Appears to have been a nice game between these two team trying to move into the top tier of the Seventh Region. I expect to see both these teams at Valley High School for the Seventh Region tournament.

 

Male is now 11-2 since the first of the year with their losses coming to PRP in the LIT and at St. Xavier last weekend.

Seneca controlled the whole game up until the 4th quarter when their point guard, McCarver, went out with an apparent cramp. Seneca was up 7 at that point I believe. He couldn't go back in until Male tied the game with a little under 3 min to go. Male got a basket with about 2 min to go. Seneca missed free throws to tie and take the lead. Male hit free throws from there. Male is very well coached and had an unsung hero come in and knock down two threes late in the game. Seneca was without a starter, Wachira, but still could have won the game.

 

Both these teams could be a contender for the finals in the 7th if things fall the right way in the draw.
