What does Warren Central need to do to improve in 2013? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Central needs to find a replacement for departed QB Michael Bush. Bush was a 3 year started. They played starting WR Chris Porter-Bunton (Sr.) at QB a little bit last year, but I think they should possibly try out the Sophomore Shanklin at QB and try to keep CPB on the outside as a threat. They graduate both their leading rushers in Kenin Reed and Trevent Green, however Central is NEVER short in the running back position. Look for Rondell Green (Sr.) to fill in, as well as Daryen Ross(Sr.) and possibly Emmett Smith(Jr.). Byron Carver(Sr.) will be another threat in the air from his TE position. Central has a lot of players playing two ways. I look for CPB, Carver, and Rondell Green all to anchor the defense as well, with the help of Smith, Robert Edwards(Sr.), and Colin Burnham (Jr.). Some underclassmen will need to step up and fill some of the gaps left by the departing seniors. I was unable to watch any of their freshman play, so I cannot give much insight into who those players might be.

 

Nonetheless, I expect this team to compete with the 5A favorite Bowling Green for the region championship again. I know they have scheduled Highlands for next year, other than that I am not sure of their out of district schedule.
