Outlook: Major threat in 6th Region again, led by senior 1B/P Bryce Carden, senior P Bradley Ferriell, senior 3B Ray Farrell, senior LF Jerred Hawkins, and a strong contingent of pitchers in senior lefthander Brandon Willman, senior Austin Schroerlucke, senior lefthander Cole Showalter, junior Kyle Goodman, and junior Jonathan Thrasher. A strong junior class will place Kody Groah in the outfield and Lazaro Sosa behind the plate, with Kyle Lewis likely to see action as a DH and backup catcher. Juniors Kyle Goodman and Ryan Blevens are versatile and can start at a number of positions. If the pitching outside of Carden and Ferriell develops as expected, look for the Bears to compete with PRP and Bullitt East for a trip to the state tournament.

Most of these kids and several from PRP all played at Prairie Village little league: Ferriell, Willman, Goodman, Lewis, Groah,Thrasher, Carden, and Blevins for Butler. Johnson and Beams for PRP. Carden's dad was League president. They had some good all star teams a few years back. Its a shame that AAU baseball has kind of watered down little leagues. PV was fun place to be on Saturdays.
