The old, grumpy Hearsay would tell everyone that he was discouraged by the 5 turnovers, the 90 yards in penalties, and the generally pedestrian, sluggish performance. The new, kindler and gentler Hearsay would tell everyone that the boys won a Class 2A playoff game by 23 points and did what was necessary to play next week, and defensively held Metcalfe to only 1 first down until the 2nd unit came in up 35-0 late in the 3rd.

 

In truth, Coach Clark ran lead left and lead right, sweep left and sweep right, with the occasional option dive, and showed Glasgow nothing. Good hard effort by Donshais Calbert on offense and Junior Mudd on defense tonight.
