Covington Catholic beats Henry Clay 12-10 in the opening lacrosse game of the season.

Cov Cath got behind early and was down 1 at the half. CovCath out scored the Blue Devils 6-3 in the second half.

Nice win for the Colonels.

 

How did the big Colonel goalie do?

Tobler had a nice game. He certainly stopped more than he allowed. Henry Clay tried to get close, in-tight goals but Zack physically over matched them time after time. CCH defense was playing soft in the first half, enabling Henry Clay to get open one-on-one looks at the goal...tough situation for any goalie when that happen.

Very nice offence games by Stutler, Boerger, Ditzel & Hellman.

Also very impressive games by freshman players Kathman, Vonlehman & Zumdick.

Cov Cath plays Elder tonight at 5:30 at home.

Tobler told me Henry Clay took over 70 shots at him. They have Elder at CovCath today and Elder was there to play but with the sirens going off and the lighting we are having now, not sure if the game will get played!
