  1. Ultimately, it's the coach's decision. The kids will follow the coach's direction.
  2. It's definately not the HHS players fault. You worked your tails off to get where you are. Unfortunately some decisions were made that were totally out of your control that really makes this thing crazy.
  3. I agree with you, it's not right that this happened. Their definately does seem to be what seems like an unfair reward for those that don't play by the rules or take a chance on the rules going their way at the expense of a lot of other people who did things correctly. I just think this whole thing stinks...too many people hurt by someone's decision to play someone knowing that the results could change.
  4. I am afraid to truly make this fair it would take some time to straighten out. The rules as stated before make it clear that the games will resume but for those teams that got beat by a team with what has now been decided as ineligble, probably doesn't sit well with those teams. Unfortunately these kids are learning at an early age, life isn't always fair.
  5. I think this will go on and on and on and on. Alot of what if's, etc. However this plays out the kids are the one's hurt by this. Highlands always produces good football teams but the coach's decision to play Mitchell when he knew the ruling could be overruled seems to be of a win at all costs mindset. He took a chance and as a result many, many people are effected by this decision.
  6. You are right...for wathever reason this is going on now, it stinks for any players involved.
  7. I hope they are paying you big bucks tonight...something tells me this thread is going to be hot all night!!
  8. This is just sad for the kids. I am not particularly a Highlands fan but those boys worked just as hard as any other team and this game this weekend means the world to them as it would any team. I don't know the story behind why he was declared ineligible in the first place so I will refrain from talking about something I know nothing about. From what I have read here, he was declared eligible at one point knowing it was temporary. The coach took a chance and played him knowing at some point there could be trouble from it. It sounds as if this game will go on whether Mitchell plays or not but this game will be tainted whatever the results and that is a real shame for these kids who have busted their tails all season. I am not familiar with the KHEA and the way they work but one would question the timing of this.
