  1. My only question is, if you have willing competent assistant coaches on the bench, why not let them finish out the year? Why tag an interim coach from outside the program who the girls have no relationship with?? Sounds to me like the administration isn't concerned about what's best for the kids.
  2. For the last 3 years Bardstown has started slow due to the majority of their team plays a fall sport. This year their top 7 players either played soccer or volleyball, and two of those girls were coming off injuries from volleyball. If I recall the first time Bardstown played TNHS they started a 7th grader, 8th grader, and a freshman. In seeing all the teams in the district, I really don't know who is better than her. I would say she is the top college prospect in the district with her freakish athleticism, length, and ability.
  3. Destanie has some what flown under the radar because she hasn't played any AAU ball up to this point. She is a superior athlete who is turning into one heck of a basketball player.
  4. Amber Courtney never applied for the Thomas Nelson job, nor was ever interested. Don't know where this information came from.
  5. It is about money because Bullitt County sports are not given an athletic budget, so the only way they can function is from gate revenue and fundraising. Buses and officials also have to be paid by each individual sport. Bullitt was in the 8th region, had no complaints and never wanted to change. If Bullitt County had open enrollment and a majority of the athletes chose to attend one school, the 6th region would be highly upset.
  6. The Bullitt schools wanting out of the region is not just about basketball. It concerns all sports and the lack of revenue generated from gate money when a majority of their games have to be played against reginal opponents. The AD's and coaches of all sports are looked at as outsiders and get out voted on just about everything. For North and Central it has actually improved their chances in every sport to win district championships, but it is not an even playing field when you get deep into the region with open enrollment in Jefferson County.
  7. The Bullitt schcools really don't have a say and they would love to get out of the Jefferson County region.
  8. Don't forget about Alexis Brewer. She has made Bardstown girls basketball relevant this year. They won tonight against Nelson County who they hadn't beat in 5 years.
