I wonder if Trinity really wants to win or just stick with a traditional type setting as in starting a senior over a sophomore. Will they follow suit with starting yet another senior 2 years in a row. How is that building for the future?? Especially when the sophomore is just as good if not better than the senior. His footwork is some of the best I've seen in years. Personally I think they should invest in the future. In observation Coverdale seems to really take to Young. Ballard or Eastern could really benefit with the young QB if he's not going to be utilized. Harper is to good to play Jv. The only thing is his height and weight for the national schedule and taking hits but then again he does scramble and tries to make plays.
Young looks good and knows where to go with the ball. Only thing that worries me about him is he is to slow in the pocket and will get sacked. He also has the tendacy to just throw the ball up. He did that against Ensworth last year and Beatty took him right out. If he were the guy for the job He would have took over last year rather than Trinity suffering and going 6-6 with the direction once again under a "senior" QB.
