At The Yard Roosters return from Nashville with a 3 and 2 record. They lose twice by a total of 3 runs; both times to a very good Music City Outlaws team (who the Roosters beat in June this year). After going 2 for 3 (1 loss to the Outlaws) in pool play the Roosters won against a solid Royals team from Canada in tourney play. Against the Royals, the Roosters were faced with a 7th inning deficit down 4 to 2. In the bottom of the 7th the Roosters start of by mustering in a run to make it 4 to 3. Then after loading the bases the Roosters drop a bomb on Canada (Welcome to the U.S...Eahh) with a walk off grand slam. Next up was the Outlaws, again. With an outstanding pitching performance by the Roosters in this game they fell short 2 to 1 at the end of the day. The Outlaws had to bring in their ace (a Vanderbilt signee) in the 6th. Although the Roosters didn't score on him, they had hit him very hard. The 6th inning started with a Rooster that almost took Mr Vandy signee's head off with a shot back up the middle and the game ended with a Rooster flying out with an opposite field fly ball at the wall at the 365 mark.
The Roosters finish their season next weekend with a tourney in Cincy.
