  1. No Matter what the reason for his dismissal, he will be very difficult to replace. They have had a lot of success, and the kids had really bought into what was going on in that program. The big question now is will all of the players be back for next season or will some of them go elsewhere and who are they going to hire.
  2. The previous coach, Tom Luebbe, was asked to resign. No explaination given, just that they wanted to move in a new direction. He had a good record this season, 18-9, with good players coming back nextyear, and had a lot of success in his 7 years at WVHS. I know his teams won something like 70% of their games under his lead. The parents and players were not happy at all with him being let go, they even tried to meet with the administration to stop it, but were not allowed. Had to be something political, and at Walton, that would not suprise me at all. Not sure
  3. I think it might also have something to do with publicity. It is hard enough for some of the fringe schools in the Northern Kentucky area to get the press that their teams deserve, much less if they are playing teams from farther away from the Northern Kentucky Newspapers readership. Press isn't everything, but it is nice to get your kids the recognition they deserve. If SK, for example, is playing Trimble County, Oldham County, Shelby County, Anderson County, North Oldham, etc., not as many people in northern Kentucky are going to care, and the papers are going to give them less coverage, they are going to be ranked lower, and their kids will be seen less.
  4. And that awful bright green everywhere. Varisty players had a headache before the JV game was over from just sitting in there.
  5. Walton-Verona should be the team to beat once the regional begins.
