Just catching up...but need to defend the 2008 Jackets, who's schedule included John Hardin, Bryan Station, Johnson Central, Whitley County.....all who went deep in the play-offs...and add in a much improved Ashland, and 6-A Meade County. Granted, the Jackets didn't attain the record they hoped for, but played with many injuries the entire season to essential skill positions and the O-Line.

Sorry to sound ignorant....but what's a senior fire?
-
What does your school do to honor Seniors at their final home game?
-
I believe that these two districts have to be about the strongest top to bottom in 5A....
-
It can be tough for even the larger schools to field Freshmen/JV teams. Let's face it, JV teams are never the same two weeks in a row, depending on who the coach decides to pull up for the varsity game on Friday night.

Steven Duckworth, SR, QB, Woodford County, 5'10", 170 lbs, 40 of 49 passing, 416yds, 4 TDs to 4 different receivers, 1 rushing TD vs. Franklin County. The team tied a KHSAA state record for completions in a single game......worth consideration.

I am biased seeing as I'm from Woodford, but I think 119 will have a very interesting finals. IF Ethan Miller from WC wins in the semis he will have to face either Martin or Zarth, both of which he has upset in the last month.
-
For Harrison County
145- Beau Sanders
152- Josh Ashbrook
Both guys are 2 wins away from a state championship!
Beau will have to beat Courtney from WC to win it. That would be a huge upset.

This is flat out domination

Who is picked as the early favorite in this district next year? It seemed to be a very competitive district this season
-
Kids from Woodford County and Montgomery County were chosen because they are in a district in which they compete with teams in Eastern Kentucky.....Johnson Central & Ashland Blazer. Coaches submit players names and the coaches for the Bowl choose based upon their needs by position.

Woodford County defeated Iroquois in the Championship game.

Woodford County will be improved this year if the boys buy into Coach Meffords philosophy of team play and hard work, something that they struggled with last year. This year's team will be taller and fast with good ups, and an improved attitude. Although the Jackets have been working hard in the weight room and overall are stronger, they still lack the bodies of other teams in the region. Good luck to this year's Jackets!

I think we will see an LSU/WVU title game.
I agree I believe the big 3 in the Big 12 will knock each other out... Mizzou beating Kansas and OU beating Mizzou
-
Last year...Lafayette defeated Woodford County in the regular season, and Woodford ended the Generals perfect season in the first round, beating them 43-22...it was a big time shocker
-
Reading many of the posts about him earlier in the season, it seems this kid pretty much just plays when he feels like it. Maybe WOFO can clearify if this true. But Woodford Co. still has Strange which is a another big playmaker on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball.
Strange (#10) has been a huge playmaker for Woodford all year, he has a bunch of int's and several touchdown catches

The better QB for now? Probably Dixon, the better future? Woodson w/o question.
I totally agree RP

Its gotta be #4 Tates Creek over #1 Henry Clay!!!!!
I would be absolutely shocked if this one were to happen
-
That is EXACTLY how he drew it up. It's nice when a plan comes together...
HAHA that is very true.
-
So buzz...Who is your favorite team?
^^ I was wondering the same thing
-
Like I have said before LSU's offense is very average at best and they would have MANY troubles playing against the Ohio State D. I see BC losing, but not Ohio State. Clemson should give BC a game and hopefully a L.
You are right LSU's O would probably have trouble against OSU's D but LSU's defense would give OSU's offense a lot of trouble also...probably more trouble
-
Thanks, Jeb...This should be a good one

Don't know much about Meade, Jeb who's some of their better players?

3 years ago Lafayette and Woodford had to delay til later in the week. Woodford had been ahead at the delay, but lost when finished later in the week. Lafayette went undefeated in the regular season, but the lightning delay came back to haunt them as Woodford pounded them in the first round of the playoffs....about 42-21.
