    Varsity team plays in main gym while JV team plays in auxiliary gym.

  3. The 2013 Kelsey Sorrell Memorial pre-season basketball scrimmages will take place Saturday, November 23rd at Simon Kenton High School in Independence, Ky. ALL proceeds from this event will go to the Kelsey Sorrell Memorial Scholarship Fund. This fund awards scholarships to high school students to further their education. Kelsey, a 2007 Notre Dame High school graduate was killed in a car accident in January of 2008. Her dad, Steve is long time Cov Cath freshmen coach.

    Varsity teams will play in the main gym while the JV teams plays in the auxillary gym.

  4. The 5th Kelsey Sorrell Memorial Pre Season Basketball Scrimmages will take place on Saturday, November 17th at Simon Kenton High School in Independence, Kentucky.

    Kelsey Sorrell was an 18 year old UK freshmen that was killed in a tragic car accident on January 2, 2008 in Northern Kentucky. Her dad Steve, has coached at Covington Catholic for over twenty years. All proceeds from the scrimmages will go directly to the Kelsey Sorrell Memorial Scholarship Fund.

    The varsity team will play in the main gym while the JV team plays in the auxillary gym. Please come out to SK on the 17th and show your support!

  7. Holy Cross girls will scrimmage Walton girls at the Kelsey Sorrell Memorial Pre-Season scrimmages taking place November 20th at Simon Kenton High School. They will play at 3pm. This is the 3rd year for the scrimmages that are held in memory of Kelsey Sorrell ( daughter of Cov. Cath freshmen coach, Steve) who was killed January 2, 2008 in a car wreck.

    All proceeds go to a scholarship fund in her name, to date the fund has awarded over $25,000 to needy students for tuition.

  10. Remember this is a different team this year -- not just coaches -- Noll quit the team early last year and Howard was out a major portion of the season with a acl injury. Noll has made a difference playing inside the latter part of this season working hard in the paint -- she's strong and not afraid to shoot. Howard's been able to work more outside on short jump shots and she can hit the 3 when she decides to shoot it. -- So, it's also a new team this year as well as new coaches.

     

    This is the exact same team. Even with Noll quitting she didn't quit the very first game of the year. And Howard was not out a major portion. This team won 4 games last year with the exact same starting 5. Lost one non factor senior. Coach Miller and his coaching staff has made an unbelievable difference compared to 4-18 last year to 19-8 this year and still playing.
