  1. Freeman had 11 K's and only allowed a bunt single. Brewer threw well but had command problems in the early innings.

Brewer walked two and hit a batter in the first which allowed the one run, walked only a couple the rest of the game had double digit K's,struck out the side a couple times as did Freeman, Powell had runners on first and second in the sixth with one out and couldn't get the key hit, great game to watch, game lasted less than two hrs.

  2. They have no one to fill Clemons and Metz shoes. Clemons was probably the quickest kid in the state "Laterally".

Metz is only a junior this year. Here is Bath's projected starting lineup for next year: T. Maze, Lyons, Metz, Mabry & Trusty. I believe that they will still be a top 3/4 team in the 16th next year. Maze is more than capable of leading the point for this team with Lyons and Metz knocking down the threes. Mabry and Trusty are very solid down low. Mabry showed this season that he is more than capable of playing solid defense against anyone.

  3. Sounds like a traditional 56th finals game, exciting to the end. Congrats to Estill that has a nice team and has to be one of the top 3 favorites going in.

    Favorites, imo

    1 Hazard

2 and 3 Estill/Cordia (even though Cordia lost I still put them up there)

    Rest are pretty even.

How do you put Estill over Letcher Central when Letcher beat Estill by 29 at Estill....LCC is at least a 15 pt better team!

  4. I have a question, the Pelfrey kid from Powell had some great stats this year and I don't see his name anywhere on the East/West team. I would like to know how it is possible that a kid has a batting average of 435, lead the team in hits with 40, lead the team in SLG with 522, lead the team with a OB of 521 and has taken the Golden Glove award two years running doesn't make it and team players with lower stats are in? I don't know that states of these other kids from this East/West All Star Team, but I do think that the Pelfrey kid's stats speak for themselves. What are the numbers that are needed to be a member of this team.

WOW....it appears that Profitt,Kinser,Brewer and Ryan are going to have to step it up next year.
