Can anybody predict how bad Dixie is going to beat Holmes? I'm going to guess 42 to 14.

Holmes may be undefeated now but they will lose to Dixie this week for sure

Leatherneck, You are one of the few Highlands fans who do not seem arrogant. I always respect your opinion and you always seem to be respectful to others as well. In other words I see you as being proud of your team.

I think people are glad Highlands beat an Ohio school but probably wish it were any other school than Highlands. I do not hate Highlands but some of the Highlands fans are so arrogant sounding all the time. It is better to be humble than to always seem to put other teams down as some fans do. Maybe that is just my opinion! I was more excited for the win by Cov Cath over Highlands a few years ago than this game.

Ryan Wilson from Dixie has 617 passing yards.

Dixie has been beaten many times by these 1A and 2A schools in the past so why so bitter, just let them enjoy the win for once.

Sorry if anything I posted inferred negatively on Wilson. I am a big fan of his and have made numerous posts supporting him going back to last year when he struggled early in the season as well as this offseason when some questioned him. Wilson deserves to be in the discussion about the best QB's in the area and perhaps even the state. His passes yesterday were all short patterns to mostly very open receivers but he was on target and made good, quick decisions. He did have one pass that was a very nicely threaded ball to a covered receiver. He played great yesterday.

I think they were commenting on an earlier thread where you said something about both QBs doing bad but I don't think you were referring to QB Wilson. I think you were referring to the 2 QB's for Beechwood.

I heard he may have an achilles tendon injury. Any more news? Hopefully everything is OK with this talented young man.

James might be on the Midland thing still because he used to play for the Midland Fury in summer ball.

But next weekend i heard the Mustangs and Knights are combining minus a few players from each team to play in a tournament this weekend in Georgetown. Its going to be like 6 Mustangs and 6 Knights on the same team.

Florence Freedom is hosting a 17u College Showcase Tournament this Thursday 7/23, Friday 7/24, and Saturday 7/25. Games are at Florence Freedom and Boone County High School. Admission is free at both locations and concessions will be served at both locations. Come out and watch some baseball. Some of next years Juniors and Seniors from Northern Kentucky and Central Kentucky will be playing in this tourney. Just to name a few Clay Cinnamon will be playing for the Danville Mustangs. Caleb Lonkard, James Hoskins, Kyle Donavon, Ryan Donavon, Dice-K, James Jones, Brennan Russell(sp.) and Logan Carney from the Boone County Cardinals. Corey Klei, Tyler Sexton, Corbin Dematteo, Bryan Waibel, George Sparks, Andrew Moran, and Tim Barnhorst from the Northern Kentucky Knights. Those are just a couple I can name off the top of my head. The Mustangs play in the Florence Freedom Showcase tournament this week/weekend up in Northern Kentucky. It looks like they'll only play 3 Kentucky teams in it though...The Northern Kentucky Warriors, Boone County Cardinals and The Northern Kentucky Knights. The team that i'd expect to keep a close game with the Stangs is the Nky Knights. The Knights have won their past two tournaments and always keep a close game with the Mustangs. It'll be a fun game between the two teams. They always seem to play each other once or twice a year.

They play each other at 8pm under the lights at Florence Freedom on Friday.

The Mustangs looked good in the Championship and really throughout the entire tournament. They sure can hit the ball, and the Cinnamon kid is a really nice looking pitcher. Is it true that they haven't lost to a Ky team all year? Have they played KBC?

I really hope Corbin comes back, he is a good QB and also did really well as a linebacker when not playing QB. Dixie can really use him this year.

He played about 4 years ago.

He only played senior year but was a very good player. He played under Coach Hungler and Coach Rabe. We had a really good experience playing for the Lions.

My son was a Lion a few years ago and we never heard them advise us not to go to LLoyd. In fact they tried to get him to go to Lloyd but he decided to go to Dixie.

My son was supposed to go to Lloyd and we chose to go to Dixie and only had to pay half the tuition and Erlanger-Elsmere school district paid the other half of the tuition. We have since moved out of that school district.

I think it was like 28-0 but not absolutely sure. Dixie won anyway.
