VT - Please explain what you meant by the "I blame it on the Brohm era." I thought all Rock supporters have the highest admiration for the golden boy. He had an outstanding carrer at Trinity.
Brohm did have an outstanding career at Trinity. This discussion is old and doesn't need to be re-hashed.

In actuality we were out manned in '95 AND '04...got shell shocked then hungry in '05....and the tales have long since turned....
I'm not to sure we were out manned in '04, yes we lost, but there was some pretty good talent that year, it just wasn't seasoned. I blame it on the Brohm era. But to Riverside's music, X doesn't play Queen, "We will Rock you" type of music, so I don't see it happening this year.

Rocks win with class, clock runs non-stop at 3rd quarter.
-
I'm not sure what all the jokes are about...
Bobby will be a major loss for Trinity the next two years. We could have used his tenacity several times Friday.
I might have to agreed with you on Bobby's tenacity. He will be missed unless the secondary can prove they can come up an hit as hard as Bobby.

I am glad that you picked us to win against Ballard because with Male and Manual coming up, you could of picked us to be 0-5 going into T!
Are you sure about that? There is nothing wrong with an o'fer record going into the T vs X game. Matter of fact, wasn't T 0-4 a few years ago going into the X game? And look what happened!!!!!
-
That's impressive.....

This will depend on how many specfics you go into. Who has sent more student athletics to college, what was there average GPA in high school, what are both W-L records for 15 years. Several other factors, but when it gets down to it, who really cares? Their both great programs.

Here's the 3 things to consider about that comment: Number 1- what happens when there is a flag on every play. Coaches complain, players complain, fans boo, long long game. Have you even been to a game with 250 yards of penalties? Number 2 As you go up the ladder, you are taught to throw the flag when it is play affecting. Case in point-sweep right, left end holds the cornerback 40 yards from the play. High school-mechanics- throw the flag. College- don't throw the flag. Talk to the left end. You tell him "I saw what you did" - and you;ll be watching next play. Advantage disadvantage.
Number 3- you throw the flag against (Insert school here) Next year, the coach scratches so you never work another game for that team. That sometimes is the thought process with younger officials. With more seasoned guys- if the coach is a jerk now then he'll be a jerk next year too and there are other games to work. Flag it when you see it if it affects the play.
Besides the holding calls, a personal foul was called against T by two officials that were 15 yards away from the play. One official was right beside the play and did not even reach from his flag. This had to be inexperienced officials. Yes, it did affect the play because it gave them 15 more yards. T fans thought it was a good call because it was on the other side of the field and didn't know better, but in reality, it was a good clean shot at the QB.

Where did it go...........
-
Both teams have shown they can play, but Ballard may be alittle more hungry after last week. Bruins by 14.
-
There seems to be two threads on X vs Lex Catholic. LC turn to win, home field advantage.
-
LC wins in a close one. Home field advantage accounts for 6 points.
-
It appeared X has a very solid team and a huge fan base (student section). It will take Trinity to play their very best and a large fan following to make a game of it on 9/14.
-
Congrats on making the verbal. So much for keeping talent in the state!!! Hope this doesn't affect his JR or SR year!!!
-
I'm not sure what you call a sellout, but when you have a stadium that seats 6,100 and you have 8,500 paid attendance, you have more than a sellout.
Xtiger69 said it wasn't a sellout, not 17 Time......

good question?

What good has this thread brought? An X fan talking bad about T's radio. I'm surprised this thread hasn't been closed, because if this was about a certain player whining about a call, the Mod's would have shut the thread down a long time ago. The people who perform these duties probably do it free of charge and performs a great service for people who live in/outside Jefferson County. Let it be, remember you have a choice, just change the dial to a FM channel.

Not just big JV games do juniors play, most every JV game they play. There may not be as many this year because there are alot of juniors who start on varsity. I wasn't at either game so I cannot comment on either.

Nice pics Da-man......

So does BG have enough to win state in their class this year?
If BG doesn't win state, something is wrong. Congrats to both teams. You could tell BG had one game under their belt. I would say all aspects on the O side clicked pretty good. There were some mis-haps, but nothing major. As for the defense, some miss tackles, but they got the stops when they needed. Good overall performance. Good luck to BG in their season.

Calls will be missed, just like the ones last week in X's home opener. Be that as it may, the announcers on the radio calls it like they see it, along with all the fans. This is a good service to the public and if the public doesn't like it, they can change the channel.

Based on his 7 of 8 in the second half to pull out the victory? Based on his no interceptions? I bet it was cooler in the second half against Ballard. X won against a better than expected Ballard team and pick up at least 3 defensive starters that did not start last week. ( Allgier, Foy, and Smith)
Since this is about opinions- I think Zoeller will have fewer interceptions this week and this entire year than Stein unless Stein gets hurt. ( not out of the question with his history)
Frankly, I think this is a big year for Zoeller. Remember this about Ben, he has lost 3 games in four years that he started for X. ( Male twice last year, (though I don't know for sure if he started the last regular season game) and Cincinnati Moeller sophomore year, all to better teams IMHO. (BTW, he also 6-1 against Trinity in baseball too) Quite simply he wins.
Not sure why you picked Stein's name out. If you want to compare QB's, shouldn't you start a new thread?

St.X may not have to throw 4 passes much less have 4 picked off.
You asked or I just replied. Good luck tonight.

I was thinking the same thing. Where is your prediction Villa? And what is it based upon? Did OC hold back in their opener?
I see OC picking four passes for TD's from X's QB. I base this performance from X's QB from the first game. Temperature will not be a factor this Friday as was last, so OC may be able to hang in there a little longer than the Bruins.

Wow, #6 wouldn't happen to be related, would he? What year is # 6? Does # 6 play soccer? College plans, Louisville may need a good kicker in the next few years?
