Adia was good as always, but make no mistake...Iroquois would not have made it by Montgomery without their role players. The 5'2 lefty was huge in the 1st half. Montgomery has had a nice run the last 6 years, but it may be someone else's turn to give it a go next year.

A good win for Ohio Co. however they will have to play much better D to make it to the semis.

Wonder what the foul count was? :idunno:
I bet they didnt let Rowan hack all the way up the floor in this one.:idunno:
Mr. Viking will fill us in im sure.
This was not a factor at all. Boone has a strong guard so pressure didn't bother them. It was rather ironic hearing a very vocal fan that was close by (Rowan fan) complaining the entire game about not calling fouls.

LCA wasn't hitting today. I thought they should've attacked the basket more instead of settling for 25 footers, however I know too well that you live by the 3...I really like the way 21 plays for E-town. What a competitor!!!
-
Judging from their JV and returning varsity players, both of these teams will be very good in the 16th. Rowan and East will indeed be near the top again, but the region could be up for grabs next year.
-
If anything, there were more touch fouls called tonight than the previous 2 at Weatherby. Especially on the interior against the big girls. Not saying they didn't foul, just saying the same contact was not called in other games.

Great win Boyd should be a great game tomorrow. The first time Elliott and Boyd played was a good game Boyd had lead but gave it up at the end. Boyd put a good game together last night. Even with something like 16 fouls to 4 for Elliott called on them in the first half. Good luck Boyd.
What does this mean?

Wouldn't a Lions victory over Rowan County in the finals be great!
A Lions victory over Rowan would be great...in the semis:thumb:

Tonight was a perfectly officiated game. Kyle Skaggs' 25 points were as impressive a performance by an 8th grader since, should I even dare say it...nah, you feel in the rest!
-
They go from beating Bath by two at home to beating East at their place after they beat the #1 team in the region...I think it's safe to say that this would classify as an upset. Don't get me wrong, Lewis is tough, and if they are hitting their 3s, will be a tough out for any team in the region!!!

We are what we are here in the 16th, and overall that's average at best. However, I think it would be more respectful and appropriate for some users to choose their words and phrasing a little more carefully (Take the harsher, trash talking tone back to the boys side:sssh:!

Does anyone have any idea when someone other than Montgomery Co. might represent the 10th at state?? Is this the last of this dominant group of young ladies??
-
We had a situation that was rather unique this year and it worked out wonderfully. Our boys JV played the opener, followed by our girls game, and the boys varsity finshed the evening up. Talk about trapping your boys fans!:thumb:

Rowan County was obviously exposed as a fraud. They will probably win their weak region, but could not compete in Louisville or Lexington. If LCA keeps playing this way, they will be tough to beat in March.
Poor choice of words Chardice. Especially seeing how this is a public forum which could easily be seen by these young ladies. A little more class would be appreciated when talkin bout us weak 16th regioners!!
-
Still don't see how Rowan isn't better than 17.

Ashland 68
Boyd 51

Hard to score when your in foul trouble. 3 Starters with 2 fouls in 1st q.
K. Ferguson had 4 in the 1st half and 2 other starters had 3
Talk about your homw cooking
Did they call hand checking and reaching in? Difficult not to call when you continuously do that!
-
Your right Intentional, they are good. As far as comparing them to how Elliott's boys are dominating the boys side, it's not even comparable...Rowan's girls are much more of a force on the girls side than Elliott's boys on the boys side.
-
A great team effort! The Lady Devils had more than just one or two step up tonight!
-
He was not a factor in this one - maybe had 6 or 8 points. Elliott's defense is as good as their offense! I don't see how they can improve much this year...but they won't need to.

11-12z
Russell Flatwoods 10
Marion County 0
Laurel Co. 12
North Oldham 2
Finals set for tomorrow at 6pm. Somewhat of a rematch of last years' final. Both teams will have their ace. Should be a good one!
9s-10s
South London over South Shore 12-1 at one time, did not hear a final. Play South Hardin and will have to beat them twice.

Day 3 Results
R-F 7
North O 0
Laurel 2
Marion 1
R-F will play Marion in the first semi. I apologize for the "weaker opponent" comment in the previous thread, was simply going by how they were in a dog fight with Grayson the first three innings, whom R-F previously beat 31-0.
Laurel vs North Oldham in the other semi.
Could be two great games or two blowouts...who knows at this point, and does anyone on here really care?

Grayson 0
North Oldham 11+ (not sure, just know it was a mercy)
East Ridge 1
Russell Flatwoods 6
Butler Co. 3 in 7 innings
R-F/North Oldham Match-up a big one tomorrow. Winner faces a weaker opponent in the semis on Tuesday, loser faces Laurel.
North Oldham 11 year olds defeated R-F alot to nothing... They will be the champion unless a miracle happens.

Miller won because he received more votes than the other players.
