How many seniors did Boone lose?

Boone lost 4 starters (Lokesak, Sciammanna, Carroll and Humrick). But they do return Cotton, Alford, Dunaway, and Laumann in the field. They also return 21 of their 24 wins on the mound. They only lost 1 pitcher.

Gotta mention Doug Teegarden. Freshman at Boone County playing varsity.

What about Boone County do they have any good freshman?

Doug Teegarden (played jv SS last year), Tyler Eglian, Zane McQuery,

Cooper Downs and Chase Stanly. All are very solid players!

Seems like some of you like Lokesak and Cotton of Boone Co. I have not seen either of them play. Who is the better player of the two?

My thought is that say for example you really enjoy the school you are presently attending but yet they do not have a football program - why not be able to play for another school.

A student a couple of years ago at Silver Grove wanted to stay at Silver Grove but wanted to play football at another school (Highlands or CCHS). However, his parents were told by the state that he had to play for the school that he was enrolled at. Since Silver Grove did not have a football team he would have had to transfer to the other school. At that time they would not allow you to go to one school and play at another. Not sure what the rule is now. Not sure how home schooling works.

As for the football team at Silver Grove it is a city team, no ties to the school.

How do the teams in the 33rd district stack up for next year? Is Ryle going to run away with this district? What does Conner and Boone have coming back? Is Cooper HS going to be added to this district?

Cooper Opening - Just to clarify: No one has been hired at Cooper. No one has even been interviewed. Applications have and are still being accepted. Found this out over the weekend.

 

Boone Co Opening: - Several have applied, but the principle is looking for a teacher first. I heard the Ryle JV coach is interested, but Boone may not have a teaching position to fit him.

Is Ryle's JV coach the AD at Ryle?

Word is that Ryle's JV coach has applied for the Varsity Coach at Boone County HS. Is he thinking about stepping down as AD at Ryle and making the move to Boone County HS??

That's what I've been hearing. I hear there's a lot of dissention in the ranks. Although it's been denied, I tend to see the reasoning behind a move.

A move to another school or just out of HS baseball? If so what school does he have his eye on???

When/Where is their next game?

Game is now on Wed. 5:00 due to rain.

Senior Donnie Davidson for the Grove pitched a great game (11K's). Babb for Bellevue also pitched a good game only giving up 6 hits. The Trains were led by Junior 2nd baseman Kerry Baumann with 3 hits. Big win for Silver Grove!!
