Aren't you the same one who said Corbin would beat Bell bad in baseball in the region? The group of seniors at Bell Co. have won at everything they have done. Nelson was a nice playe, but Bell definitly has the talent to move forward and will be fine. The idea of Middlesboro playing with Bell Co. is laughable IMO, let alone beating them.
Yes, I am the one who made that comment, but that was if Greer pitched. And what does this have to do with football? I'm the same one that grew up in the era of the Bengals and the Big Red Machine and to make comments that I know nothing about football or baseball is ridiculous. I played against the likes of Moller, Princeton, and went to high school with a hall-of-famer; Cris Carter. I have personally talked to Pete Rose, Johnny Bench, and Joe Morgan. I remember a few years back Bell wanted to scrimmage Moller, what a joke. You guys would have been crushed. They are true power-house teams. Just wait until some of the inner-city enrollment schools, like yourself, get a taste of your own medicine. Weren't you guys moaning and groaning just last year when Lexington Catholic came to town. The same group of these kids from Middlesboro had defeated Bell Co. in the regular season game, then beat us in a championship. So to say that we have no chance, I guess you guys are just superior over everybody.

I'm sick of hearing about Mboro not wanting to play Bell.We want to play them.
-
This is off topic but what exactly is an anamial?
The name animal was already taken
-
Bell is overrated.I heard this team was suppose be the best team they had in year's.:lol:Nelson was the backbone of the team,This team they have now Mboro beat them.
-
What happen to Greer, did he run out of gas?
-
:confused::confused::confused:
Bell returns almost everything except for Nelson from this year's team. Nelson is a very good player, but not as good all the way around as Greer (fielding, hitting, etc). Also Zachary has been playing really well along with Overbate, Slusher, Ely and some other guys. Im afraid you are way out in left field on this one!
Apparently you are in left field about the knowledge of this team. I said after next year Bell will be down, and I helped coach most of these kids in All-Stars.
They have some classy kids on this team, but on the other hand they have some with attitude problems.

Nelson will start on the hill tonight. He has been the work-horse for Bell the last four years, and I don't think he has ever had the chance to pitch in championship games. Bell will save Greer for the championship, which is a shame with it being Nelson's senior year. If anybody knows Bell County's program they know why they're so good this year. After next year Bell County baseball will be down no matter who is coaching.

Hounds will rock Greer's fastball..I heard somebody saying they clocked him throwing 89mph:lol:Let's see. The last time these two teams played Corbin won with Greer on the mound. Redhounds win by nine runs. -
Dude, I am sure you probably had a point, but I did not understand anything you typed.
Boy. My point is bell cant hit off speed pitching, and the bottom line up is weak and greer is over rated.Nelson is a better pitcher.
-
Corbin throw slow junk threw top bell's line up, and keep the ball down, the bottom of line up can't hit a good fastball. If Greer is on the mound he throw's alot fast meatball's.his ball don't have much movement on it.Nelson on the other hand is a smarter pitcher hits his spot's.Good luck Corbin

I'm not going to complain about the outcome of the game, but keep in mind that M'boro is only a single A program, and I am very proud of our jackets. We played you to the wire. It's still not over by a long shot! Just wait until you run along with a good 4 or 5 A school and will see how good you really are.

On April 10th Mboro beat Bell 10-7 that brings it to a 3 way tie
Mboro don"t need worry about seeding just take one game at a time and stay focused.
-
Take one for the team.:walk: close this thread already

I think its crazy to put that much pressure on a young kid's arm pitching that young from that distance..good way to ruin his arm while he's still developing

Not surprising. Before Comparoni moved to Williamsburg he hit around .500 for Middlesboro and was the glue that held together a bunch of "super egos." After he left Middlesboro, the team never made it out of the regional tournament. Williamsburg has a proud tradition and Comparoni, with his love for the game, will fit in well there. We wish you well Mark.

Yeah that was Chris Tolliver best hitter on team.I still think it would have been different story if they would had Brett Pittman.Lastyear's M.V.P as a freshman sit most year on the bench. An it wasn't just one game.they made huge mistake taking him out the lineup, wasn't like he was asking for alot just wanted to play an be part of the team.I'm about 100% sure he's talking about Chris Tolliver who played 1st base for the Jackets.Andrew Breeding I think has been playing LF.

[/quote How long has Evan's been a coach?Hat's off to the Harlan boy's,you guy's showed alot of heart.

No Smith is just that good, Whitley was down this year and Smith was in a grove and the umpire was a little generous with his strike zone and Smith did a better job taking advantage of it than Whitley's pitchers.
M'boro got five run's off Smith..Very good pitcher throw's alot first pitch strike's.with a sharp breaking curve. But he's not untouchable

My hat is off to Williamsburg for a great season in which they won the All-A Region and got to play in Applebees Park. :ylsuper:
Corbin has been hitting the ball very well lately all through the lineup and it continued again yesterday as they exploded for the one big inning that decided this game.
Another good pitching performance from Hedrick who have up three runs on four hits.
14-4...Wow I thought would be a better game than this.
-
Would love to dance again as that would mean we finally beat Corbin...lol
who's Corbin's Ace? they never showed him against us.Corbin seems to struggle on hiting offspeed stuff.
-
How many homers has Root hit this season? It seems like when the Big Orange needs a swing, Root always delivers. Jackets are a dangerous team and seem to be peaking at the right time of the year.
So is the B'oro Yellow Jackets,we want a rematch :argue:

I love it! If they win, the kids did a great job. If they lose, the coaches are doing a horrible job. That seems to be Middlesboro athletics in a nutshell.
You can love it all you want ..my son wont be playing for them anymore..They lost a gem probaly one of top 16 year olds in the state..my son has left his heart on mound plently times..pitched all is life for M,boro and gets no respect..hes a all around athlete...but the coaches dont seem to care
-
Yeah you can sure say that again..i had high hopes for M'boro this year...after this year almost all the starters are gone..something is wrong an i dont think its the players faultA great win for Williamsburg, hopefully they can make another trip to Applebees for the All-A state.I'm sure this one shocks the M'boro faithful though.

Yes, I am well aware of the Bell Co. program. Do not get me wrong they are a good football team, and should be. I guess you don't understand my point of view. Larger schools, more athletes, more depth, not to mention your entire starters are hold-backs. I don't understand how these smaller schools could pull for Bell County when you say that they are no competition, and that there are no other talented athletes. Lets all just bow to Bell County.
