Anderson and Henry have both got veterans on the field, and good coaches on the sideline.

 

Both have started strong (record-wise) and have the confidence and momentum that goes with it.

 

Henry has a dogged defense and Anderson the offensive weapons.

 

Both teams have made a habit over the past 2-3 years of beating the teams they are supposed to, but not pulling off much in the way of upsets. I agree with BigCatDaddy that both teams are "knocking on the door" in their respective classes...

 

I think the DIFFERENCE is this: Anderson County has spent the last 2-3 years knocking heads with larger, better teams and Jacob Russell will likely be the best player on the field at his position, with this being his 3rd year as the starting QB. As tough as Henry's defense is, it won't show anything to Russell he hasn't seen before...he's the biggest playmaker in the game.

 

Can Henry win this one? Count me as one of those who thinks they can. Am I predicting a Wildcat win? No. I think Anderson pulls away from a defensive struggle in the second half...

It was a very good game. Both teams played hard and turnovers decided the outcome.

Anderson QB/LB Jacob Russell is the real deal and will make an excellent D1 player wherever he goes.

Congrats to Jacob Russell from Anderson County. Nobody works harder than this young man. Three sport athlete who excels on the field and in the classroom. Should be an outstanding college player.

Luke Hawkins pitched for Anderson giving up 1 earned run. Jacob Russell came in to pitch final two innings. Good ballgame with Anderson just having too many errors early.

Tim Patterson is awesome. Hope he gives the Cats a hard look, but I heard UL was a lock.

This class could be the best to come out of the state in years. It will be exciting to see.

Anderson County beat them Saturday night in Frankfort Tournament 4-0.

#41 is Jacob Russell. Very good athlete, QB on the football team. He gives Anderson a good one-two punch.

If the Bearcats ever get it together on the defensive side of the ball, they could make some noise come region and state tournament time.

Anderson's convincing win over Shelby Friday night showed that they are not a "One Man" team. Penny sat out most of the second quarter in foul trouble. Jacob Russell and Will Ruggles are good young players who are only going to get better by district time. Good win by the Bearcats!!

Anderson County will be tough this year - Lost two players off a team that lost 1-0 to Oldham County in regional finals. Courtney Turpin is one of the best sophomores in the state.:p

Anderson will be a very tough out - Tough against the run and if Jacob Russell is hot, they're offense can put up alot of points.
