Big district game tomorrow night at Estill. Kinser was out the last time these two played. Should be a good one. Any thoughts on who the winner will be?

Corey Brewer had a monster game as did Justin Mays. Both had 12 rebounds. Kinser and Banks had a good game as well. The Pirates are really playing well as a team.

Thank you Master of the Hardwood for your comments on the refs. Anyone who was at the game Friday can vouch for the fact that both teams played good, clean ball. Daniel Kinser was mugged hard several times, especially on the last play of the game. No foul called and no compalints from Lively. The kids have no control over the refs. Powell came out and wanted to win this game. Corey Brewer and Mays were both monsters on the boards and Banks played his usual tough game as well.

The last time these two played Daniel Kinser was ejected in the third quarter. He will hopefully be in the whole game this time. Powell has scoring power from Corey Brewer and Jeremy Banks as well. Powell should take this one at home by 10. Jeremy Mays has been coming on the last few games as well.

Any one know the score on the Estill-Lee Co. game?

Kinser for Powell Co. should be #3 pitcher for the Pirates. Pitched a no hitter in the regional last year against Breathitt. Profitt for Powell should also be a top pitcher. Powell is a threat to repeat as champs.

#10 for Powell is Danny Dennis, a senior. He can shoot the lights out. #23 Daniel Kinser, a junior added 21 pts. The Pirates played as a team last night. These boys want a championship Sat. night. GO Pirates!!!!

Letcher Central comes to Stanton tomorrow night. It's Senior Night with 11 seniors to be recognized. Powell is playing well right now. Coach Lively has the boys playing as a team. They are on a roll after the last second win at Magoffin Tues night. Powell should win this one by 10 pts.

Powell Co.'s gym holds 3500 easily. The parking is excellant. The last time they hosted it everything went well. I agree with PCC, KCC, and Breathitt hosting the tournament. Hazard still hosting is ridiculous. The Lethcer gym is very nice; parking may be a problem.

Powell Co. won a hard fought game in Salyersville last night. Was up by 14 points at one time. The officiating was questionable at best. Jeremy Banks nailed a three at the buzzer. Good momentum builder for the game against Letcher Central Fri. night in Stanton. Senior night. The Pirates showed character and restraint playing under those circumstances. Good luck Fri. night!

Big win for Powell last night. New starting lineup of Skidmore at point, Kinser, Sebey, Banks, and Martin worked well. Good bench play as well. Banks was a work horse underneath as well as Romans who had 24 pts. Banks had 18pts, and Skidmore 15 pts. In defense of Estill, Berryman had a horrible shooting night. If Powell continues to play with this intensity, they can make some noise in the region.

Any thoughts on the big game in Stanton tomorrow night? I think coach Lively maybe changing some things. Should be a barn burner.
