I heard it had to do with effort in practice.

So effort in practice must mean more than effort in games.

How is it when you get Player of the Game and receive a plaque on Friday night after scoring 16 pts.....then score 8 pts in Sat's game then on Tuesday Egan did not get in the whole 1st qtr in the Scott game when the Indians were getting their butts kicked? Egan probably played a total of 1/2 a qtr the whole game....what's up with that?

Pretty exciting match. The Lady birds had what it took down the stretch. SK had way too many service errors. Interesting that both teams will play each other again on Friday at 5pm at Scott in the September Slam.

Could be a close match. Looks like Highlands is starting to get things together.

Gotta give Lloyd credit. They have a coach that seems to be a great motivator and does a real good job with his girls each year.

Newspaper says Lloyd beat Highlands last night in volleyball. Big time win for Lloyd. Congrats to the Juggernauts. :banana:

Dixie is not going the wrong way they are just very young. They have a new coach and will be competitive soon. Just not tonight.

Scott has a 6'3" and 6'4" middle that are both only Juniors. With only a slightly weak defense they are very tough and will contend this year and next.

NDA 25-9 25-10 and most of those Dixie points will be unforced errrors by NDA.

SK will host ryle tonight. Ryle took their first match of the season in Lexington tourney in three games. Should be a great volleyball match in Independence tonight.

The lafayette tourney was held over the weekdend. Scott and Boone played in the bronze bracket. Simon Kenton and Ryle both made the Silver bracket. The Lexington teams pretty well took control of the NKY teams that played. Henry Clay won the tournament gold Bracket and looks very very strong.

Scott handled Boone easily and Ryle defeated SK in three games. Both those teams play tonight at SK for their annual regular season matchup.

Unfortunately, they just send those out to the schools AD and then most get lost due to summer vacations and lack of communication. Surely, the coaches would submit if they had the info in front of them. Most teams with info the paper was at their scrimmages. Maybe the paper could visit a majority of schools and interview as they do for football and basketball.

The middle school program is key, however, to really develop a program in your area you need to have a club presence in the off season. That is where the girls really develop. For the most part, the coaching at the MS level is not as good as club. Probably, has a lot to due with the amount of time they get plus the pay is nothing to write home about.

A Club can be started by a dedicated few and you can grow it from there. Look at Lville, Lex, BwlgGrn, NKY and Owensboro. They all have a strong club presence and you see it show in the high school game.

Cooper will surprise this year and should def be moved into the Top Ten.

But, then where is Scott in that Top 5 poll?

Most matches will be at KBA (Kentucky Basketball Academy). SHDHS and NDA not in the tourney nor are the Big Lville schools. This tourney not taken in by those large named schools. However, some are there. Louisville Butler and Lousiville Holy Cross are there. There are a large number of teams that played in the State Tourney last season.

It may be Louisville Holy Cross' tourney. They look like a favorite to me with the draw.
