It seems that HHS' offensive line is really playing well. Also, HHS' special teams, which was thought to be a possible weak point heading into the season, has been a real plus so far.

 

If Conner ends up the year back at full strength, the backfield consisting of Conner, Crawford and Guidugli is going to be scary!

Agreed. It seems like they are throwing the ball a lot more. I have yet to see Highlands play this year so it is hard for me to say if they could be better. I am kind of partial to saying that no Highlands team was or will be better than last year since they ended my football career.

Is Collinsworth playing more offense or defense? I heard he was playing a lot more on offense.

Nope,but I would say the game would be a lot closer if CovCath had competent coaches.

Since I have been told my first prediction can't possibly happen, I will just cheer on my boys from CovCath. BTW, Brossart needs to throw out all the jet sweeps and pitches for this game. It would be stupid to try to do it against Highlands for the simple fact that the whole team is insanely fast.

Agreed. He played great against Lex Cath and was probably the reason they won, besides Pat VanSant's interception.

The reason CovCath won against lexcath was Brandon Brown's interception. I think Pat's interception came late in the 2nd or 3rd, while Brandon's came late in the 4th. Pat's int was a good play though. Bruner's best game was against Johnson Central and he was a strong reason why we won that game, and the fact that their fullback got hurt.

Yes ive seen Pat play for the last 3 years, and he is not the top player in Nky. Offensivly hes going to get his td's because Covcath's offense is designed for him too. If you put him against any good team.. (Mooney) than he will be shut down. Defensivly he makes tackles, but hes not someone I would be frightened of if I was on offense. And to name some players that either will be or are better... Guidugli, Collinsworth, Crawford, Kelly, Conner(when he returns).. and I just dont think hes better then any of these guys, but he is probably somewhere in this list.

Wow that is very shocking you named all Highalnds players,except for Kelly who plays for NewCath I think. I wouldn't have guessed that you would do that. Ask the Dixie qb if you should worry about Van Sant, and the offense is not designed around him. I am pretty sure he had only 2 catches against Dixie and both were touchdowns. If the offense was designed for him then he would have touched the ball more than 2 times. You would have known that if you really watched CovCath play.

Wow Best player in Nky eh? Lets look at who VanSant is getting his numbers against... Dixie? Newcath? How did he play against Mooney? Lets see him play against better talent before we classify him as the best player in Nky. Im sure there is alot of talent just as good or better.

So I guess CovCath started running out of good players when Brossart took over....doesn't sound right. O yeah because it's not. CovCath has the players to compete with anyone it is the responsibility of the staff to put them in a situation to suceed. That means playing the best players and playing to your team's strengths. That's something I haven't seen since Brossart has taken over. Simon Kenton only gave up 7 points to Dixie, compared to CovCath giving up 47, and Simon Kenton has nowhere near the players CovCath has. You seem like a smart guy Wildcat, what does that say about the coaching?

All the defensive coaches have multiple years at coaching HS football and 3 played college football.

 

Yes the D-coordinator is strong and yes they are all legit defensive guys.

 

The players are not executing the scheme, which is the same scheme that won the '06 State Championship.

Yes I do. Name a player that goes both ways like he does and dominates on both sides of the ball. Also, without him CovCath would be 0-3. He is the best player in NKY.
