Not even a 10th region fan, but two things:
Congratulations to Brossart
It's ALWAYS the officials fault.
I'll have to disgree with that statement. I can't imagine it always being the officials fault. You obviously aren't being facetious because that would only prove my point. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, though.

Stop bagging on the officials! They miss calls both ways in every game. Enough is enough! Nothing worse than people on these sites always calling them out! Oh how I long for the 1990s
My apologies for being hypocritical.

I'm glad I played in the 90's before all these forums came along. I think this is a great site, except for one problem. People calling out 15-18 year old kids. It's why I can't stand ESPN, over half of these shows are opinion based comments from people who never picked up a ball or where so bad they just bag on today's players. Like I said,it's a very small percentage of people that say these things.
One other question: Who is recruiting the Crawford kid? Was impressed with his footwork, how strong he was with ball and attacking the basket. I assume he has good range, he had a nice stroke on his free throws. He also seemed to have a good attitude. I only saw him complain once and that was the breakaway where he got hacked and body checked. Clearly a foul. The no call on the walk and timeout granted when the ball wasn't even in BB possession were calls no varsity official should miss.

Come one, don't leave us hanging. Who are they?
I saw the list, but was asked to keep in confidential. I understand its not top secret information, but I will honor the wishes of the administration. I'm sure it will all be public knowledge very, very soon.

Any news on the Paris job?
They received over 40 applications. 6 applicants will be interviewed this week.
-
This didn't surprise me, either. I wil be surprised if they win tonight, though. Madison Central is just so athletic and has more firepower. MC by 8-12 tonight.
-
Dunbar finally beats Catholic on the 3rd try and are rewarded with a brutal draw.
-
I just can't figure out who will win this region. Heck who's even going to win this region.
One would think Madison Central is the favorite. However, there are 5-6 teams that have a shot of making it to Rupp.
-
I'm assuming its a split vote every time.
-
I haven't seen many of the teams play, but from what I've read it will likely be Montgomery or Brossart winning this region. Am I incorrect?

John Chamberlin, mondo, Clary twins, Mike goins
-
Has to be a Myrick or two in that club.
-
If I heard correctly, Chase Mullins threw a no-hitter, but HC's runs scored on hit batters and wild pitches. Is this accurate?
I believe you're correct.

BTW, Wazoo Sports will broadcast all of the 11th Region games in conjunction with ESPN Rise. Nice to see ESPN adding to Kentucky's notoriety.
Willl the final be broadcast on television Monday night? I know in Lexington there is a Wazoo channel carried by Insight, just curious being I'm a directv carrier.

The boss and I rented Couples Retreat. Sure glad I didnt pay 20 bucks for it.
I agree completely. It had a great cast and was pretty bad in every way possible.

:thumb: excellent point, why not?[/QUote]

Well, where'd ya go? BTW that show last night was awesome:thumb:
I agree, the show was extremely entertaining.
We got to NKY about 2:00 and had not eaten yet, so we went to one of our favorite pizza joints, Dewey's. We were headed to Jeff Ruby's until we ran into some of her friends during intermission. They wanted to get together, so we just stopped in Barleycorn's. It was probably for the best as I had a large bucket of popcorn before the intermission and wasn't even all that hungry.

How can someone not like Marty?

He obviously lost a bet.

Sounds like you are coming in from the back side of the campus off of John's hill road? The Arena is located to the right on the other side of the parking garage from where it sounds you are entering the campus. Can't miss it.
We would always come up 27, driving north and take a left.
-
It all just depends on how big the event is. The circus-type events at the BOKC haven't drawn particularly well so I would say it shouldn't be as bad as some of the other events there. Parking at the garage will allow you to leave three ways. The easiest to get back to your hotel would be to go back through the turnabout and back towards 275...the other would be to go through the turnabout and up towards the BP station across from the big NKU sign, from there you can go towards Newport and Cincinnati to the left or Alexandria to the right. The other is a bit tougher to describe for someone who isn't from the area so I would suggest either of the routes through the turnabout.
I haven't been up that way in some time. We used to go to NKU's summer bball team camp every June. We would always turn left at the NKU concrete signs. It took us back the gym and the baseball field I believe. Is that where the BOKC is located?
-
I concur. It's got character. The food is great.
The heck with it. We can hit the road early and stop by there for a late lunch.
-
I appreciate all the feedback. It seems as though my biggest obstacle is finding one where the kitchen stays open late. I'm sure it will be 10:00 at the earliest before we sit down. How is the parking at BOKC? Does it take awhile to get out?

My fiancee and I are attending Cirque de soleil at BOK Saturday night in Highland Heights. We are going to the 7:30 show and plan on having a late dinner afterwards. I was hoping some locals could give me some suggestions. I don't want to hit the usual chain restaurants. I was thinking of a good steak house or italian. We are staying at the Hilton in Florence, so something in either area would be ideal, but not absolutley necessary. Thanks in advance. :thumb:

Curious if Paris will put someone back to prevent all of the layups.
