  1. YOU HAVE ALL OF MASK ON VHS!!?!?!?

I thought only like 5 other people I knew of liked and heard of the show. It was awesome!

Yep, I do. At least I think I have it all. I'm not sure if it's every episode. But I have 4 tapes. So that's a lot of shows. It took me FOREVER to find it. It wasn't on ebay. I had to spend like 2 hours looking on Google and stuff like that and finally found it. But I had most off the vehicles when I was a kid and played with them constantly. It's safe to say it was my favorite show.

  2. If you can let me know and we can set something up. I just have no clue where to find them at and dont wanna have to buy them individually.

When I bought them, DVDs weren't around and I had to buy the VHS. I can burn them for you probably. I probably could tell you were I got them if you're interested. If not, I could do it. But I'm leaving for Florida tomorrow, so I'll be gone until the 22nd. So we'll talk then.

  3. Man I'd love to have those games on DVD. You should burn me a copy of them an hook a dude up. I'd pay;) Yeah that Fiesta Bowl was great. I remember the high stepping by one of the Peter's twins you mentioned it was funny.Tommy's run may be one of the best ever.

I might could do that. It just might take me some time. Tommy's run was nominated for an ESPY that year. I don't remember if it won or not. He lost yardage on his last run and ended with 199 yards. I think some people forget that Ahman Green was a freshman on that team and got in the game and had like 75 yards in the 4th quarter, or something like that. There's several quality pros from that game on both teams.

  4. 71 NU was a great team and the game that year vs Oklahoma was such a classic maybe the best game ever. But in my mind nothing is close to the 95 husker squad. Talk about just beating the pants off of the teams on that schedule. The schedule feature prolly 3 to 5 top 10 teams on it also. That team was absolutely sick.

My favorite moment though comes from the national championship game in 94 where NU played Miami in the Orange bowl. Tommy Frazier had miss a good amount of the season due to blood clots in his legs. NU was losing to the Canes at halftime I believe an then in the second half Tommy took over for Brook Berringer and when Tommy came into the game Warren Sapp walked up to him and said "Where ya been Tommy?" Frazier replied "It's not where I been fat boy it's where Im goin." NU proceeds to make a comeback and beat Miami. Loved it.

I have the 3 title games on tape and watch them often. I remember watching each and was on the edge of my seat for the Orange Bowl. The Fiesta Bowl was just the greatest to me. Two things stick out to me. Tommy's HUGE run in which he broke 8 tackles on one run. And also one of the Peters twins that picked up a failed 2 pt conversion and ran it back and started high stepping. That was hilarious. But the '95 team to me was untouchable.

  5. You would think all the politicians would like Ernie Ferglar, since "You make out like a burglar when you shop at Furglar's." Where else are you going to find that many crooks in one area, than DC?

Donnie Baker could probably win as president if he ran. I'm not sure that's a good thing or not. I'd probably vote for him though.

  6. Just jokin' with you (notice the smilie), lighten up, lol. The only thing I was only halfway serious about was, if you think all the cops are at Denny's, you will find out the hard way that they aren't. Which you did.

It's all good. But I must have looked over the smiley face. Apparently that cop doesn't like Denny's. It's a small town here, and I know almost all of the city cops and the state police. I just didn't know him. :irked:

  7. So you didn't like the teams that won more games than any other team during the 03,04,05 seasons?

When I said that Tubby wasn't that good, my fingers got ahead of my brain. I realized later what I had put. I don't think he's great. But he's an ok coach. He did pretty good at Tulsa and Geogria. The only problem is, he had the same sucess at those schools as he's had at UK, with the exception of '98.

As far as them winning more games than any other team, I've said this MANY times. It's easy to win with the schedule that they have. I don't remember what year, but it was one of the 3 that you metioned, UK only played 1 ranked team OOC. How hard of a schedule is that? Any top 10 team's second 5 could probably have a similar record against UK's OOC. But they don't give titles for regular season wins. You realize that in two of those three seasons you mentioned, UK had second round losses in the tourney? I don't understand how Tubby supporters could be happy with that. But that's all I hear. "Tubby is a great coach and has UK as one of the best programs in the country." To me, that's bull. They're not even one of the best in the SEC anymore.

The original post by Adopted Admiral stated that Tubby could've won with the '97 team. I find that hard to believe. As I said, Tubby can't win with HIS players, so how could he say that they would've won the title that year with Pitino's players? It's ridiculous.

  8. It would be nice to see someone with a little class win the most prestigous award in college football!

Really? I didn't watch the presentation, but from reading the posts on here, I was under the impression that that's EXACTLY what he had, class and dignity. I thought this country was all about giving somebody a second chance. How many times have YOU screwed up and got another shot? Maybe your boss has called you into their office and chewed you out for doing something you shouldn't. Did they fire you right then, or send you back to work? That might be nice for you to say about him, but you should think about you getting second chances too. But that's my opinion. Maybe you choose not think like that.

  9. This is a serious question. Did you hate him in May of 98. My cousin never liked him even after winning the title. I could never understand that. He disliked him after winning the title because of his lack of intensity and he missed Rick. Even though he won a national championship his first year and without Ron Mercer who Rick had the year before. Now, it is recruiting and last year's team and at least there is justification for the frustration; but in May of 98, it would seem to be hard to hate Tubby but I am curious.

I would say I was probably neutral. I was a big Rick fan and probably still trying to get over him leaving. If UK hadn't won in 98, I wouldn't have hated Tubby then. I would've understood, it being his first year. I was just glad they won. I want to be glad like that again. And so far, Tubby isn't doing it. I didn't hate him in 98, but it sure didn't take me long after that to dislike him. I've been displease probably since 2000 or so.

  10. Kind of contradicts itself! Kind of, are the two words that give you away! Here is what I said. I hear alot of people who do not like Tubby as The UK Basketball coach claim that in 98 that Tubby won the championship with Pitinos Players! Which I guess he did,! See the part in there that says(Which I guess he did)? This comes from the link I put on a earlier post: And when it comes to national championships, let’s face it, Rick Pitino didn’t win any more than Tubby Smith has. And for anybody who says, “That was Rick’s team,” you can go try to sell that at your local used car lot, but I’m not buying it.This is another Quote" Kentucky beat Duke 86-84. In a masterful job from the bench, Smith went small and put Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski in a bind. That move also sent standout guard Steve Wojciechowski to the bench because he couldn’t guard Wayne Turner.

The word “outcoached” is overused and often used incorrectly in major sports. But it’s clear Smith held his own and then some against one of the game’s all-time greats, prompting Krzyzewski to say after the game that Smith “is one hell of a coach.”

The only people who do not respect Tubby as a Coach are people who clam to be Kentucky Fans! Thats just my opinion!;)

So all UK fans don't respect Tubby? If somebody claims to be a UK fan, that must mean they don't like him? OK, glad you explained that to me.

Look, for me it's very simple. I have been very critical of Tubby in the past. But I've said several times on the multiple posts that cover the same thing that you started here, if Tubby would get UK to the Final Four ONE TIME, after screwing up the past 8 years, I'd stop being critical of him and accept him. But he can't do that. Every year all the Tubby lovers say that he's got a great freshman class and in a couple of years, they'll be a great team. But we've heard that for years now. He brought in 3 All Americans and they haven't done much yet. He got Alleyne who looked like he had never watched a basketball game before. Maybe this year's freshmen will be better. We'll see in a couple of years. But I doubt it.

As far as the Duke game, if I understand what you're saying, Smith is such a great coach that he was able to coach Turner's speed and quickness which caused Wojo to be benched. Is that right? Well if Smith is good enough to coach a player's quickness, then I guess I'll be quiet because he's done something that no other coach has been able to do before.

But you've only came up with one example. So he outcoached Coach K. Personally, I haven't been that impressed with him either. But that's another topic. A blind squirrel finds a nut every once in awhile. You have one example, how many second round losses in the tourny do we have to have before you'll realize he's not that good? If Tubby was able to coach Pitino's players and win the title, why hasn't he been able to take HIS OWN PLAYERS and get them to the Final Four? To me, that means one of two things. Either he's not capable of recruiting good quality players, or if he can recruit those players, he's not a good enough coach to get them to the FF. I'm actually leaning toward both of those being right.

Pitino may have the same number of titles as Tubby. But Pitino has been to more. You can't win it if you're not there. And we haven't been there in a long time. But Rick has 5 Final Four appearances. Tubby has 1, with players that he didn't recruit. If I had to pick between the two, I'd pick Rick before you got the choices named. Maybe he is a liar. Big deal. He wins. He rebuilt UK basketball and Tubby has done very little to keep the program where it was when he took over.

  11. I'd attribute that more to the lack of a realistic challenger than to Smith being the most talented.

I got hammered in the Heisman thread earlier for stating this very thing. I wasn't about to say it again. If Reggie Bush's last year's season was this year, I would say the margin would've been even greater.

  12. Your lack of respect for law enforcement, telling them you have connections, and your avatar lead me to believe that you have two chances of avoiding incarceration at some point in your lifetime...slim and none. And slim's out of town.:D

See....now you don't even know what you're talking about. I guess I didn't explain the situation enough. The officer took my license and went back to his car. He came back with a ticket and I asked him a question about traffic school. He told me to ask "my mother's name inserted here." I told him that "she" was my mother and he said, ok have a nice night. I admit, I was hoping he would take the ticket back, but that didn't happen. But what is even worse is that my mother has NOTHING to do with speeding tickets or traffic school. He should've known that she didn't. And if he was just assuming since we have the same last name, that doesn't mean we were related.

To say I have a disrespect for law enforcement is just crazy. It's actually the complete opposite. But trying to see if they would let it go is not disrespectful. If you go to Vegas and ask for free comps, that's just seeing if you can get it. They can just say no. This isn't much different.

And as far as my avitar, what does that have to do with anything? It's a good show and I like it. Doesn't mean I'm a criminal. I'm 27 and that one speeding ticket is the only thing on my record. I've never been arrested or even questioned by police, other than that one night.

  13. :scared:

Smith became the first Buckeye winner since Eddie George in 1995.

Troy Smith did so with the highest percentage of first-place votes ever.

Really??? That's very impressive, yet hard to believe considering the talent from past winners.

  14. I hear alot of people who do not like Tubby as The UK Basketball coach claim that in 98 that Tubby won the championship with Pitinos Players! Which I guess he did,but in 97 Pitino couldn't win it with his own Players! It makes me think that if Pitino had quit after the 96 championship and Tubby could have coached Pitinos 97 Players,The cats may have won three in a Row!;)

Maybe you should look again at what you've posted. It kind of contradicts itself. I miss the days of Pitino, but I've never ONCE said that Pitino won the title that year. What I do say is that it was with Pitino's PLAYERS!!!! There's a big difference. Not one player that played, at least, in the Final Four was recruited by Tubby. Therefore, that means, all the players were Pitino's. And aside from the freshmen on the '98 team, not one player that Tubby has EVER recruited has played in a Final Four. But I'm going to leave that fact alone for now. Whether you like it or not, those WERE Pitino's players that won in '98, even though it was Tubby coaching them.

As for Arizona, let's not forget that they were the first, and I think the only, team to beat three #1 seeds in the same tournament. And I also think that they were the first team to beat the highest possible seed in each round that they could play. For example, if they beat a #4 seed, that was the highest seed they could play in that round. So it's not like they were a cupcake game.

I blame the '97 loss on Minnesota. IMO Minnesota was a tougher FF game than whoever Arizona played. I remember thinking that ever since the games were played. I believe that Minnesota wore UK out and they were still sluggish from that game when they played Zona. Also, if my memory serves me correctly, if UK had hit their free throws at the end of the game, it wouldn't have went into overtime and we would've had 3 in a row. And I'm not just talking about Anderson's misses. Would they have won with Anderson? Probably. But nobody can be certain of that. This will be a life long debate.

  15. I got my only speeding ticket in 2002. I was doing 58 in a 35. It was 2 am on a Saturday morning. I thought all the cops were at Denny's, like they are the 51 other Saturdays in a year. I told him I was going home, which I was. I also told him who my mother is. She's a county politician. So he proceeded to write me about a $200 ticket. My mom called the county attourney and it was dismissed. It's good to have the right friends. I'm not sure I could get the next one dropped. But so far, that's been my only one. But I would definitely recommend traffic school if it doesn't get dropped.

  16. They also beat Georgia Tech who was a win away from a BCS birth, and beat UCLA a team that beat UCLA. But that is not what were arguing here, so I will leave that alone. Your post above just says it all, and is quite funny. You make it quite clear that you dont think ND should be in the BCS, but we are not talking about that we are talking about Quinn, so just because you dont think ND shouldn't be in the BCS seems to be the reason you have it out for Quinn and dont think he is a good QB...

Your post got even funnier when you said if you put Quinn at UK and he had those numbers he wouldn't come close to New York, and you are right. But do you honestly think if you put Troy Smith at UK with his numbers do you think he would come close to New York either? You really have no points at all here, and you are just fighting a losing battle, so give it up already...

OK. This will probably be my last response to this thread because I'm tired of arguing with you. You're probably the only person on here that I can't get along with. I don't know why that is. But that's the way it seems. You do have me figured out though. I don't like ND and I don't like Quinn. Nor do I think he deserves the Heisman. You keep talking about Smith a lot. Maybe you've overlooked the fact that I haven't mentioned Smith at all. I don't believe I've ever mentioned his name, much less said that he would be a good Heisman winner. He'll most likely win it, but only because he plays for the #1 team and there's a lack of quality competition. If I were to say who is truly deserving, I'm not sure. A lot of QBs have put up numbers comparable to Smith and Quinn. But Smith will probably win it, simply for the reasons I stated above.

  17. Who would you have put in over Notre Dame? Remember no one from the SEC or Big Ten can go, so that eliminates Arkansas, Auburn and Wisconsin. Looks like it's between WVU, Rutgers, Texas, Georgia Tech or California. Who do you think is more deserving?

Wrong again. Quinn played the tougher schedule:

    Sagarin: ND-20, OSU-38, http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/fbt06.htm

    NCAA: ND-41, OSU 42, http://web1.ncaa.org/d1mfb/2006/Internet/toughest%20schedule/ia_9games_cumm.pdf

Care to rethink your analysis because your SOS point seems to go against Smith and support Quinn? What's the next unfounded bash on Notre Dame?

Who did ND beat? The only team they beat was then #19 Penn State. That's their big victory? They deserve a BCS game based on this? They got beat by 20, twice and you think they should play? West Virginia would kill them. Even a lot of the media were talking about it before the bowls were released, at how ND would get a BCS game just because they qualified for it. All ND has to do is be ranked in the top 14 or whatever, to be qualified for a BCS and they'll get it.

I know that when they got beat down by Oregon State, there was at least one team that deserved it more than ND.

If Quinn played at UK, and put up the numbers that he has right now, he'd never make it to NY. I mean, Couch's numbers were bigger, yet he barely made it when there were 4 candidates.
