Even though there are open enrollments a student/player must sit a year unless comming from another state.....

District 1 should be pretty strong next year, as I think Fulton City will be solid again. They lose a couple of very talented backs but they have the core of there line returning and quite a bit on the defensive side. They always seem to have 2-3 very good athletes coming through. I'm sure they'll have a few coming up through the lower classes again. Ballard Memorial was also very young this year and should be improved in 08. Mayfield will once again be solid and Crittenden should be good. Fulton Co will likely bring up the rear in 08 as there #s have been really down and there program is barely staying afloat.

Yea Fulton City should be a pretty good team next year. I am taking a few kids to camps this summer and with possibely some new faces we could come close to repeating last seasons record.

As for our FC Dawgs. Men there is no reason to hang your heads you played a very good season.

Hats off to Reidland with such a small squad they have good players. Very sportsmanlike the whole game. #76 & #73 for Reidland were Monsters. Good luck in they future men.

Good game Dawgs. I see they let the new kicker get a few PAT's. A few TD's got called back because flags. This could come back and hurt the Dawgs in playoffs where every point will be needed.

Well that is like saying Ohio should be number one but they played the Dallas Cowboys and lost so now they are not that good. I think the coaches scheduled to big of a game for these kids. But it was a learning experince. Fulton City should learn from this and be a better team. We will see how they act this friday.

WOW. This was a eye opener for the FC kids. Hats off to Lone Oak they called the right plays all night.

Well I was wondering when this thread would start.

Everyone said last week that the Mayfield game would be a blow out. Well I think that IF the FC boys can hold on to the ball longer this game will be close. The main problem that FC has is that most players play both ways and that will cause problems defending against the passing game.

I also think the cold weather will be a problem for both teams.

What i was told by a Mayfield parent last night. He was not being rude just giving me his opion. All in all i think regardless of who played or who didnt play that was one of the best played games i have seen i a while.

I have seen Logan play a few times and he is a very talanted kid. I hope he can get that arm working right not only to finish out his HS years but, i look forward to see him at the next level.

First of all as a Fulton City Fan. I am ashamed at the way a few fans acted after the game. I can say this that none of the fans that went to center field were parents of players that I saw. Regardless of what other teams have done at center field after big games this was uncalled for.

Second rather FC won or loss this game would be tainted in Mayfields eyes. If Mayfield would have won all the post would say "Mayfield stomped FC with second string players." Now that FC won just about every post is saying this would have not happend if you were not missing three players.

This sets up a grest game in the second round. I just hope that we both make it there. The real test will be next week.

First as a FC fan this would be a great win for these young men after an upsetting end to last year.

As a HS football fan this will be a great game no matter who wins. I think that both teams will come out strong no matter who is playing or who is benched. Lets hope the refs let these young men play and keep the yellow laundry tucked away.

Does Loagn have to sit out this game for being ejected?

In the fourth quarter was Logan ejected from the game. The ref threw two un sportsman like flags on Mayfield. The first flag was thrown then Logan started in on the ref and a second flag was thrown. Not sure if he was ejected looked like the ref gave the sign. I do agree the ref's are putting the yellow flag on the ground alot this year. Good game CC

Fulton City has some under class comming up thru the ranks with real talent. And also with the city starting a pop warner league will help in the future. As it has been in the past the first time these boys have played ball was in JH.

THis was a close one for the Bulldogs! The Rockets did their homework and made it tough on the Bulldogs. This one was one in the last 21 seconds. Just want to tell the Rockets great game guys you gave the Bulldogs a run for their money. I cant wait till the rematch next year. Good luck with the rest of your season.
