  1. Both teams played terrible offensively. LC was less terrible. Both teams had a defensive TD (INT return by Rogers for LC; fumble return for Carter for B-Town). LC's first TD was also set up by a fumble return to the B-Town 9 yd. line. The Tigers had at least 6 turnovers, and 9 penalties for over 80 yards. They rushed for less than 20 net yards in the second half. They missed two extra point tries and failed on a conversion try. They had the chance to win it with 3 min. left when they had 3rd and a couple of chain links at the LC 9 yd. line, and the QB fumbled the snap. On 4th down B-Town missed a 20 yard field goal.

I thought Bardstown's defense did a pretty good job, but the secondary is going to have to get tighter on receivers or Warren East is going to be playing tune-up next week. LC's defensive line beat Bardstown's O-Line like a drum, particularly #64 (Bustle) and #77.

The Tigers are going to have to get better QB play. I'll just leave it at that.

Incidentally, this is Bardstown's first regular season loss since 2004.

I am interested in anyone's thoughts on the ridiculous call in the 3rd quarter when Scott had an 80 yard punt return for a TD called back because the ref claimed another player (who was not fielding the ball) signaled "fair catch." If it was a fair catch, why did Bardstown not get penalized afterward for returning it??

    Get better, Bardstown.

Lots of work needed for the Tiger team! The talent is there, we just need to get the right players in the right positions to make the offense work better, recievers need to catch the ball when it hits thier hands, better center QB exchages (what happened? last year it was almost flawless), special teams needs fine-tuning and linebackers need to step it up a notch, O line, get focused, defensive secondary getting beat, not good with Warren East coming up next week. On a positive note...Ben Riley really stepping it up this year, Logan Edelen getting the football either in or at the endzone on kickoffs, Nice punt from QB Smith, good defensive play from Carter, Andy Smith and Jeff Helton.

What's next? Just watch those film- identify problems and work em out, and the coaches need to trust thier team- if they had... (4th and one on the 2 yard line) we'd be talking about a hard fought Tiger victory today instead of the disappointing loss we had. I have faith that they'll all get it together before district play as long as everybody learns something and makes the changes we need now.
