  1. The student section at Scott is very good, however, the fact that they have been up by a lot limits their cheering. The students know what it is like to be down and they kind of follow a mercy rule and don't cheer as much when they are up a lot. The first four or five rows of their section is phenominal. Lead by the seniors, they get really loud in big games.

When they played at Lewis County in December, 5 students went down and were much louder than Lewis Counties students. Same story at Harrison County. At Pendleton 2 students went down and were louder than Pendletons students. It was quite impressive. Another reason they are so quiet at times is the lack of cheering from the underclassmen high up in the student section.

With that said, I do believe that HCs section is very good, as is Cov Cath (with the exception of this season) and that nobody likes to hear any of these sections at their place or on the road.

  2. Not sure why Giwa sat the first four mintues of the game, but it may have cost the Indians in last nights contest. But I do have to admire a coach who has such convictions and sticks to his principles. Now for the players of Scott. As an observer this is what I can recount from the game. EJ: good job the entire game. Nick: lots of turnovers, his strength is cutting to the rim, not dribbling. Kellen: too many turnovers. I'm not sure he sees the floor as well as some think. He tries to feed the ball down low in heavy traffic when there is an open man on the wing. Possibly inexperience rearing it's ugly head. Daniel: good job, however he needs to get stronger, the ball was stripped out of his hands too often and too easily. Nikola: Did not play to his preseaon status of a top 10th region player. He needs to turn and shoot when in the paint, not put the ball on the floor. He was the biggest man on the floor and should have dominated down low. Keylo, Stefan and Andrew: nice job off the bench. They needed you in for a few more minutes, the starters once again got tired at the end.

Don't understand why the bench is used a lot in the first half successfully and then hardly at all in the second half. I agree the starters look exhausted in the fourth and could use the break.
