  1. Bath County

    1. Yes

    2. Yes (40 players participated in the scrimmage)

    3. Averaged 40 players for spring practice

It was very beneficial for those able to participate. I think the spring game is great motivation for off-season workouts. The kids that really work can see their gains on the field.

  2. I guess Bath's defense had nothing to do with the Royals only scoring 48 points? The Wildcats just flat outplayed Rose Hill on their floor. This Bath County team is improving with every game. They are finally healthy and beginning to understand that Coach Hick's system works. Great tourney Wildcats! Congrats.:dancingpa Best of luck on the rest of your season Royals.

  3. You do not have to worry about the Cats overlooking Nicholas County. They always have the respect of Bath County. Coach Hopkins and staff have done a great job this season. They have the Jackets playing well in all phases. This should be a good game from start to finish. I am sure it will be an old fashioned, slobber-knocker :creepy:. Good luck to Nicholas in the playoffs!

  4.

Bath County players walked away from after the whistle nonsense all night. If that game were played anywhere else but P-burg, the Blackcats would have had numerous ejections not to mention two obvious fumbles, and at least two blantant pass interference no-calls etc. etc..... Good luck to any team that has to travel to Blackcat Field and try to compete, especially when the majority of the crew is from Floyd County. I am not taking anything away from P-burg's talent. They have a very good football team. They will have a great season. There is just no place for the intentional late hits with the helmets and constant mouthing. There is definitely no need for an official that turns their head from that type of behavior. The fact is that any team who travels their will be at a very very unfair disadvantage.

  5. Bath County does move up to 2A this season. Their district consists of Morgan County, Prestonsburg, and Shelby Valley. I may be biased, but Last year was not a fluke. They were a pretty solid team at 7-4. Their team speed and strength have improved a bunch this off season. They seem to have a group of seniors that are leaders. It could be an interesting season in Owingsville.

  6. I am not sure of the final. I know the Wildcats won by 14. They led by 25 at one time. Blandon Clemons had another huge game with 23. It is good to see the Cats peaking at the right time of the season. :thumb: They have won 6 of their last 8 games. I do not know who made the schedule for this season, but Bath had only eight home games the entire season. The home games of late have allowed them to mesh under Coach Johnson's new system.

  7. The Vikings simply had no answer for Clemons off the dribble tonight. The smaller Cats did more than hold their own on the glass as well. Bath is starting to make a little noise at the right time. Zak Metz is a load!:scared: He plays like he's 6'3" at 5'9". The Cats are starting to play solid defense. This is definitely the reason for their success of late. Congrats Cats on Senior Night! What a way to go out! Good luck in the district vs. Fleming. :thumb:
