Whitley wins because of coaching and pitching.:ohbrother:
:thumb:Go Colonels!
-
WOW! I figured Whitley would of scored more than this! Who pitched for both teams?
Not sure about Knox Central but, Whitley threw Dustin Decker
-
-
Any thoughts? They should play today if the weather holds off.

-
Is Rose able to pitch for Whitley? If not, I expect South Laurel to win.
Rumor has it that Rose will pitch tonight. However, he has been battling a shoulder injury and probably not 100%.
-
Who wins today? The Colonels have shown they are a team to be reckoned with. They will be playing with alot of momentum. I say they take the sweep. Go Colonels!:taz:
-
How does this effect district now?
Whitley has to win today to get the #1 spot. If SL wins they will be #1. Should be a good one to watch.

Final. Great game for the Colonels.

Today is the day. Anymore thoughts?

Someone beat me to it but...handily. haha. Congrats on great blowout win.

I heard too that Sl rolled over Williamsburg in both games 11-1 and 12-1. Anyone know what happened in these two games? Who pitched for both teams?
-
The Colonels won this game rather "handily" Great game Colonels!
-
They play a doubleheader today.
Thanks for the info 4chs. I can always count on you.:ylsuper:

Did SL and Williamsburg play yesterday and if so, Does anyone know who won?
-
Whitley only made 1 error in the game. Corbin just hit the ball really well and seemed to find all the gaps and holes. The Colonels hit the ball okay but just couldn't find a gap. Pitching did hurt them in this one. Senior Dave Rose couldn't throw due to an injury and I am supposing Ledington saved Clifford for todays game. Anyway, good effort from the Colonels.

Does anyone know if Corbin and Whitley will play today? The suspense is killing me!:isurrender: If so how will they be played? Will Whitley still travel to Corbin and Corbin to Whitley tomorrow or will they be forced to play a double header?
-
has the rain moved out of the region and will the Whitley/Corbin game be played today?
-
I heard that he received a one game suspension for getting tossed in Florida, so I assume that he has already sat one out.
Actually it was two games and yes he has already sat those out.
-
I don't think either team will win this one "handily". These two teams are pretty evenly matched. I am sure we will see Clifford on the mound for game one however, I am interested to see who pitches game two if Rose is not healthy. Do you think the game will be played today or is it still too wet?

Enough Ledington/Smith debate........Being a Whitley fan I will say I support coach Ledington and am happy to have him in our dugout.
To the Game........
With all the rain, did Whitley have their field tarped and will field conditoins play a part in the game. Will Whitley continue to exploit the weakness mentioned earlier by VolFan? The big question is who will pitch for the 'Burg? And just how good is the Whitley concession stand, as I will be eating dinner at the game tonight!!!!!
Not sure about the field being tarped, Yes, Whitley will go after the Burgs weak spots, and like you, Who will pitch for the Burg. Oh and you can expect some good eating at the concession stand. Its always Good!
Does Williamsburg not have a game on Thursday in the All-A tournament and if so, what will they do for pitching?
