  1. Nate Sharp has got to be the best ball handler

Chris Whitehead can be a good passer.. but can get out of control and have many turnovers...

McCord is the best shooter.. (IMO sharp used to be able to make an argument but not lately, he hasn't been shooting very well at all , its flat and like a line drive.. maybe he just needs a rest)

Dixon is the best defender (Zimmerman can make an argument here though)

Quigley is the best at taking the ball to the basket (to the left side that is)

Castleman can shoot but doesn't play with confidence.

    Any other comments please?

  2. Just for the record Dixon didn't have any turnovers in that game.. and barely ever has any... this kid deserves more varsity because look what he can do.. he is easily the best on ball defender in the program and one of the quickest. He can handle the ball, maybe not to the capability of sharp, which is why he plays over dixon. Dixon creates the plays.. he doesn't score because he doesnt shoot. Smith seems like a good shooter because he gets points but he shoots it everytime he touches it. I believe someone in his family has that affect on him. But Dixon racks up the assists and IMO is better and should be playing more than FELTS, but not miller.

  3. Kenton Co. administrators have mandated that all three county schools play each other twice each seaon. Which, in my opinion, is overkill.

Thats so stupid.. they separate Kenton co. by putting SK in the 8th Dixie in the 9th and Scott in the 10th and make them play each other twice a year.. that seems a bit irrelevant.. i think they only did that to keep heated rivals between the three schools.

  4. Don't count the Camels or Eagles out just yet. Brossart will crush Silver Grove or Calvary... whoever they play.. thats not saying much but the winner of the Campbell Co. vs. Scott game may be able to give Brossart a run for their money. Any of these three teams could take the district but IMO in your district championship will be Scott vs. Brossart and if scott plays like they did in the first meeting b/t these two teams, Brossart is your champ! However, scott has snapped their losing streak (which was against some really rough teams, if your interested in who let me know and ill inform you) and has just defeated long time rival SK and NCC and are hungry for more.

  5. Fair enough Dirtybird!!We can agree to disagree then. I hope SK keeps Scott on the schedule twice next season. Regardless of the outcome these have been down to the wire exciting games.QUOTE]

Agreed... however, i feel that Scott will not be able to handle SK next year, and of the three kenton co. teams, dixie will be the worst off. Look for SK to do big things with their Junior dominated lineup (this year) in the next season.. however in two years, i don't think scott nor' SK will be that great unless some kids step it up or unless they both receive transfers.

  6. Your right it is my opinion though that scott is better than SK still.. and i respect your opinion from earlier skfan good post. However, during the losing streak for scott they missed starters. For a few games starting guard chris whitehead was out and chris quigley was out against russel in the 8 pt. or so loss and their would be a definate difference. as for the other games, scott played some tough teams like bishop brossart, holmes (before their drama) , covcath , highlands, pendleton, and campbell (while missing sharp and whitehead, and still loss by only 5).

  7. How can anyone of you say that SK or dixie is better than Scott? Scott not only beat dixie by 17 in one of their two wins over the colonels but split with SK and Blevins doesn't make that much of a difference.. i think he had 3 in the first meeting against the Eagles and the score of the first matchup doesnt tell the tale. Scott was trailing by 3 with 35 sec. or so and missed a 3 point attempt to tie it up and were forced to start fouling.. and as for the 2 pt. victory at home it was already in the bag and as time ranout the eagles let hester run down the floor and throwup an uncontested 3 pt. shot

  8. that would be a good assumtion. How ever they won today 47-42 so that has to be some defense.

I was there and i cant say it was all defense Kiernan missed a numerous amount of layups it was disguisting and although the eagles shot horribly from the line they pulled it out in the end. congrats and hopefully this carries into HC and the tourney

  9. I have heard rumors as well that Mayo Oden Cook and Walker all expressed interest in OSU and if so they may even be a #1 seed in the tourney.. that would be an all star cast but all of them would only be there for a single year.. Plus correct me if im wrong oden is a year older than the rest and he would most likely be gone before they arrived unless he was smart and stuck around to win a ring ....

  10. Hester is one of the top juniors in the 8th region and the N.KY area, but he is not close to being ranked in the state.

Josh did okay against howard but he was in foul trouble .. hester on the other hand didnt' seem to be all there maybe it was just because he wasn't scoring everytime down the floor i guess. he is a good player but saying top ten in state is a massive stretch . i'll give him props in the 8th though
