Coach Holcomb here at Breathitt doesnt fool around alot with recruiting. I was talking to Colby's dad at the last game and he told me that Holcomb hasnt even offered to help with it. I think the coach or coaches should help these kids out.
Can't agree with you more, If they are not willing to help these boys out they shouldn't be coaching. If someone has the abilities and the grades, they've for sure put in the time and deserve a little help.

6 state champions, 6 teams with kids to have good memories for the rest of there life, Bad deal, I think not.
You can't say it any better than that! It's for the kids right?

Excuse me for asking but what did he do in the first half that had Corbin up 16-7 at the half? It seems to me that Corbin couldn't capitalize when they had the chance. No one player won or lost the game for Corbin they lost this game as a team. No excuses here NCC was better team on this night.
No problem. No exscuses here, just facts. Your right no one player lost that game, two coaches did. When that 230 bull is in the game he either blows holes or diverts attention. Films shows it all if you couldn't see it live. Fact is when you have a good team one stud can make the difference. They really should have given HIM THE BALL 20-25 times and moved on to state. They blew it last year and it cost them again this year. Now that being said, the offensive line was awsome this year, Loved watching them play. Just needed to keep all the pcs of the puzzle together. I also ask the boy myself. There was no injury that kept him from playing. Pain or no Pain, Anyone that knows Campbell knows what an animal he is and that he would do anything to help his team win. IMO Can't do that from the sidelines.

He tends to be a little hard on himself.........if not for his effort last week, Corbin may not have even been playing this week and he made spme plays last night that had the Hounds in a position to win.
Corbin lost because they could not consistently move the ball offensively.
Corbin lost because they pulled their fullback in the second half. What a mistake. Whats up with that?????

Go Somerset, Would love to see you win this. From what i've seen you got all the talent it takes. So get to work and bring it home.

NCC only has one player that plays the majority of plays both ways and that is OT/DE Geisler.
Part of the advantage that NCC has had since 2000 over other small schools is that their QB and primary RB only play offense. That is the same again this year along with the center, the wide receivers, and most of the linemen. A couple of players can see some action on both sides of the ball but it is limited. For example, linebackers can also see time at fullback but that may only be 4 or 5 plays a game. Most eveyone in the secondary could play offense if needed, but they primarily play defense only.
That also helps the special teams too since many starters also play on special teams since they only play one way.
That depth is really helpful when preparing in practice for a team as good as Corbin.
When is saw them play 23,56,59 75 76 and 82 come to mind as playing boths ways alot. As well most of corbin gets a breather when they need it.

Corbin has four or five men that goes both ways, so does NCC and the ones that do can play four quarters full out. After seeing NCC play it looks like both teams are very well balanced. Fatique should not be a factor on either side Friday night. Don't think NCC has seen a team like Corbin this year. Should be a fantastic game. College recruiters should get their passes early. Plenty of boys to go on to the next level here. Good luck!!!!!!

No prediction, superstitous thing i guess. Watched both teams play this year. Each team has their very own personality. This game will be right up their with the best a football game can offer. Not many times you will get to see so many athletes on one field at the same time. Pray the officals call a great game and let these guys show us their talents. Good luck!!!!

Seems like Campbell is always injured.
Boy has played hurt Since game One. That's football, and he still dominates.

#34 was playing with split ribs. He has hardly been able to straighten up this week. He was cleared to play this morning but I am sure they were trying to watch out and not reinjure tonight.
Hope your right, Sure like to see them in l'ville. They are good enough you know.

Good job Hounds, Just a hard fought game. Watkins and Hamlin were awsome to-nite, Just never know who will step up. Signs of a great Team, but they 2will never get past NCC if they don't keep big #34 in the game. What's up with that? he's a game changer. Why would you change something that has worked 11 straight games. It almost cost em!
-
Thank you for the compliment, Corbin also has a very nice and well coached team.
But I am serious and don't call me Shirley. Which call was made that was so bad or a missed call, besides the 12 men on the field for Corbin that was missed. There were calls that came up at very bad times for Corbin and negated some plays, but does that mean the penalty did not happen, just because the timing was bad? Watch the film and see if there was a penalty.
I am sure the former officials that were at the game and just happened to be sitting on the Corbin side weren't biased at all. This was a fun game between two proud programs, maybe not either teams best game but it was a fun game for us the Parents and Fans.
Corbin has too much class as a program to contine to complain about officiating in a game they won.
I will be happy to send a copy and you may watch for yourself. Lets just talk about all the holding on Corbins defense that was ignored all night, allowing plenty of time to throw. Anyone can pick a defense apart if allowed to do that. It's the only way they could keep it close. Somerset has an awsome Team, and will go far in the playoffs, but the officals should be reprimanded and or dismissed.

Couldn't be prouder of those Hounds. Way to hold you composer while playing 11 against 16, Not sure how you guys pulled it off. Great Leadership. That O & D line are awsome, and # 34 is unbelivable! Nice win.

LEADERSHIP!!!:dancingpa

Good game Hounds. You were suppose to win and you did, Kind of scary after half time though. Looked liked the coaches of old coming back to haunt us. Hope those ghost go back and we just play football. 7-1. That's a positive.
-
I sure hope the boys/men don't listen to all these post telling them how good they are our are not. We should go out there and practice harder every week and just continue to improve. I realize were just giving our opinion on and upcoming compition and it's fun, just don't want anything they read in here to cause them to loose their focus. Never underestimate your opponent.:fight:

Nice post, only were not playing Tennis or Golf, Were playing a barbaric game of crash-em, smash-em brutal exciting football, where the fans get a little barbaric at times also. I hear what your saying, but don't really think most of what comes out of some peoples mouth during this gladiation is meant to hurt anyones feelings. It's the most emotional enviroment most of us are exsposed to and unfortunately some worse than others exspress their emotions in a less than positive way. As always in todays society we must take the good with the bad and hope all continue to learn from our exsperiences.

Hound 82 can't argue. Watins and Campbell seem to step it up a little more every game. Those men come to play. Great job again by all. Line just seems to be on a mission. Keep working hard and getting better. Hamlin is an animal, love the way he plays. Good job by French also. Heck everyone came to play to-nite. Love to watch it!!!!!!!!!!

Think you've been hit by a truck, no just the big FB- Michael Campbell of Corbin!
-
Biggest game of the year coming up! Need to put our work hats on this week. Time to make a statement if they can! Still alot to work on. Middlesboro will be no cakewalk, they will be fired up this friday!!!!!!!!!!:flame:

Great game Hounds. Just keep playing your game. You guys were awsome tonite. Excellent Teamwork, from top to bottom you showed up to play. Let'em keep doubting. You guys are the real deal. Love it when a plan starts to come together.

I think that not enough consideration has been put into many predictions for Lexington Christian-Corbin game this evening. More weight should be given to the difficultly of schedule and the compassion of coaches who will not run up the score. May the better team win.
Well said. Predictions are just that- never much weight in any of them. We'll see who's the better football team to-nite. Everyone can dream though, kind of makes it fun to think you can play with another caliber of team, even if you can't. Good luck guys.
-
LCA always has a quality team, but this year the big boys up front should dominate the line of scrimmage. They will not stop the running game this week. Corbin 33-22.
-
Can't see many ways for the Hounds to lose this one.
Maybe, but that's what they said about Dunbar! Better practice hard this week.:fight:
