Matt Wright's shot at then end of regulation that sent the game to overtime was a THREE!!! Owls by one in regulation.

Anyone who ever played highschool basketball in the sate of Kentucky knows what its like to miss something. You dont really think about it while you're a player, but after that last season, it feels like someone in your family has died. There will always be a void, especially if you can look back and not be able to say you gave it everything you had everytime your feet touched the hardwood.
Its one thing to get beat, its another to give up like it sounds like Owsley did. I feel like a lot of these younger players only care if their name is the Lexington Herald the next morning in fine print with the box scores. Maybe they should just clean house and only play the players that really give it all they got instead of some of their "better" players, they may lose by more than what they are, but at least they will be a TEAM, and it could also make some the better players realize what they're missing by not giving it all, or they could quit.... but would it matter?

Stepp had 40 :thumb:
How many shots did he take?

Another good win for the Bobcats... Lee Co. that is....
An improving young Breathitt team, with a very bright future!
BTW, how many of Breathitt's players are from the SMS 8th Grade State Championship team?

Looks like the number of dangerous teams in the region is dwindling down. Maybe tournament time wont be so exciting afterall?

Yao Ming's younger brother  :jump: :jump:
The chinese are a very strict culture. Deportation is a common punishment for misbehaving...........

Yes Oak Hill or Kentucky Wildcats, sometimes they look about the same.
Oak Hill by 4 over Kentucky.
-
Couldnt said it any better myself
Not bad though for the owls. Oak Hill would have a rough time most of the time going to OBI and pulling out a victory. "Its like a box of chocolates, You never know what your going to get."
Oak Hill? :irked:

Owsley by 40 in OT for the most ridiculous thread EVER!

I dont believe that Owsley fans have put Neeley on the back burner. Good coach or not the largest majority of Owsley fans are still Owsley fans, not Smith or Neeley fans. I am very familiar with the territory and just because a few people state their opinion on BGP doesnt mean hes' now a nobody. Yes, Smith coming back drew the attention away from Neeley's scoring and thats what everyone focused on. Neeley was demanded to score the first of the season and now he's not the focus because help has arrived other than Congelton. Smith has been discussed and discussed over and over again. IMO Neeley needs Smith as much as Smith needs Neeley and both of them dont win the JBS game without Congelton. One on a team by theirself surrounded by the rest of the Owlsey team is a 1 and 10 record(this has been proven) put them together and they beat a good team and get recognized as a team with potential and see a possible bright future. If Neeley dont come back then Smith will prolly go through what Neeley went through the first of the season.
If neeley isnt back the Owls take one on the chin because its never easy to win one at Oneida anyway you get there.
Agreed....together they are possibly the best backcourt in the region, apart...well... 1-10 says it all. If they don't pull it together, they'res not gonna be a season left to salvage.

Leslie by 20.

26-21 NCC and they just called a time out to talk things over. Fairview is getting hot on the 3's
Comeback?

Good job Master D! I think you change your name to Fast Finger Freddy as fast as you are coming with them updates!

The 14th could use a big win like this! THROW IT UP 14th!!!! Go Bobcats!
-
How bout those steps down into Cordia's gym? Your lucky not to have a player injured before you even get in the place!!
-
This is a big game for the 2 teams playing in it. They are both searching for an identity in the region, and both need to make a statement that says they can compete and be dangerous come tournament time. A win like this for either team could get the ball rolling in the right direction.
Owsley by 2 in OT!! (If game is on neutral court no OT... )

Wayland High! The gym King Kelly Coleman made famous 40 years ago or something! Its just used for pick-up games, and league games now though.
-
What does Powell's lineup look like?
-
Big district match-up. This is the game where Leslie turns it around though, and starts to gain their momentum. Leslie by 9.
-
I will say PCC wins the tourny with ease.
They have to make it out of district first.
-
JBS beat Perry and seeing both teams I say it would happen more than 1 out of 10 but the proof shows it did happen. I'm going with Leslie.
Good win for JBS at Cordia. Close games close to tourny time seem to help teams stay focused.
Agreed. :thumb:

I gotta go with Lee County at this point. It might be a different story come tournament time, but they are playing the best ball of anyone in the region. Leslie will be in the mix, and Perry Central as well.
DARKHORSE: Estill- good shooters, mixing things up in their first year in the 14th

I would take Sarah over Pat anyday!!!
I bet you would............. haha.

Where's Tyler Rich at on these lists? The best player on possibly the best team in the region right now!
