  1. So, any word about Vicars?

Watching the highlights on tv #26 is a pretty darn good backup to have to him........

Yes indeed, Chip is a great kid as well as a great back. I personally don't consider him a back up. He gets alot of carries even when Vicars is in. They are two completely different backs though. Chip is straight up the gut and runs over the defence. Vicars runs by them. Michael speed is awesome as his chips strength. They are a awesome combination. IMO

  2. Vickers has a injury to his leg and recieved a xray saturday.(no word yet on his condition) #26 is Chip Burks, strong hard running back. A very very good backup

Michael's X-Ray is Monday. He will find out Then his chances for Friday. I will say he looked much better yesterday evening. I think he will be able to go Friday personally. That is just my opinion though,we will let the doctor make the call. But much of the pain was gone and after a full day of ice and heat there was no swelling at all.

  3. I just was checking out and comparing win loss records, and NCC has 5 losses. 2 of the teams (Beechwood abd Holy Cross) they came back and beat in the playoffs. The other three teams that beat them are all playing in the state semi-final games. That I thought was pretty interesting.:scared: :thumb:

  4. There were calls that hurt NCC as well. I seen 2 face mask penalties on third down that would have resulted in first downs for NCC. Then I seen them on the news that night as well, so I know they were true penalties. All I am saying is it went both ways. Those were just bad refs period. A well efficiated game would have been completely different, but know one knows who would have benifited from it. I think these are two even teams that played hard and someone else even said NCC outplayed Beechwood on both sides of the ball. NCC deserves to be where they are right now and now we have to worry about Raceland. Hopefully NCC and Beechwood keep playing in the regular season, because these really are some of the best games in the state to watch.

  5. I talked to Michael and he said it was a fumble and he did recover it. He said the ref seen him jump on it an blew the whistle. The coach was screaming at him to hold on to the ball thats why he was walking toward the coach who was on the sideline. The ref was telling the others the newcath boy jumped on it.

  6. OK, I said I would post today after watching the game film. I realize none of this matters except this tape will be sent to KHSAA for review and this ref crew should never ever get to do another playoff game as long as they live.

First, the fumble discussed, Vicars clearly fumbles the ball and it is recovered by BHS, no fumble called, field goal by NCC. Second and the biggest blown call I have ever seen was the ineligible rec. down field, Pete Kayiatos(#16) was in the slot, off the line of scrimmage w/Kevin Mitts(#34) out wide on the line. The side judge on NCC's side flaged #16 for ineligible rec down field. We lined up like this all night and all yr and Pete was clearly behind the line of scrimmage. This call resulted in NO TD for BHS w/32 sec remaining which would have gave us the lead 28-26 given we kicked the x-tra pt and not went for 2.

Oh well, I said I would report back w/the results, the film does not lie. We will be back next yr stronger than ever.

Did you see all the holding calls not called. Also did you see all the face mask penalties not called.

  7. Dozer22, Ram Stadium is handycap accessable. If you can send me a PM with some info on what you will be driving, I will see to it that you are allowed entrance via driving inside the stadium and parking in the endzone if you wish to do so. If you prefer to park outside, I will be more than glad to assist you any way possible. Have a safe trip and just let me know if you need anything.

Thank you very much. I will give my mom and dad a call and see which car they are going to drive. I will PM you tommorrow and set it all up. Again TY very much.

  8. Here we go NO ONE ever has a chance against a Northern KY team. SO what if they won state last, this is a new year and a different Rams team than any NKY team has ever faced. We are not running the wishbone offense incase any of you have cared to watch. If I remember NCC is a #3 seed repeat a #3 seed. It gets so old listening to we are inferior to you. Grow up EQUUS GREVYI give some other teams credit. We have been a good team all year 11-1 is not a shabby record. You have probably have not seen the Rams play this year, so you really probably don't have a clue what you are talking about. If Beechwood have had their #1 back NCC would be setting at home watching, you all ought to thank Bankamper for giving you all the game. I am only asking give Raceland a chance they are not 11-1 for nothing, solid offense, BIG special teams, and probably one of the BEST defenses in 1A football.

I agree not to bash other teams and if you look back I haven't. So I know that post was not meant for me, BUT to say we would be sitting at home next friday if Tommy Bankamper (Who is a great back by the way) would have played, just shows you don't really know what you are talking about either. By the way NCC back did not run much last night do to a knee injury. Both NCC and Beechwood are great programs and it goes down to the last minute almost every game.

  9. Based on the fact that no one will punt to him Joe Casteneda for Cov. Cath has to be one of the best

Same for Michael Vicars. No one will punt to him. he moves to one side of the field they punt the othe way.he lines up in the middle they kick it out to the left or right. He has gotten 3 that I know of and 1 he returned for a td,another to the 10 yard line and one was a short gain.

  10. I know they're receiveing yds. I was making a point of how he got the yds and what play was run.....I really don't think he had 97 rushing. Anyway a block in the back is a no, no and how do we know, Vicars might have been tackled if there wasn't a block in the back. So.....we really can't say if he woulda, coulda, shoulda got the TD.

Well I never said woulda, coulda, or shoulda anything. I just answered your question of how he got his yards. So to answer this question the block in the back was about 20 yards behind him so I seriously doubt that perticular kid would have made the saving tackle. With that said, it was still a penalty and needed to be called back.

  11. If anyone was there, I believe Vicars got all his yds. on the screen pass not rushing. I could be wrong. If so.......someone please correct me.

Those would be recieving yards. I believe he had 97 rushing yards but I am going to find out tommorrow for sure. Also the screen pass was called back for a block in the back,so it did not account for any yards.

  12. OK,here is my 2 cents. 4 times NCC was inside the 10 yardline and turned the ball over. HC was inside the 10 once. There TD was about a 40 yard pass and a very nice one I might add. But to say NCC did not move the ball is just wrong. HC had one big play and NCC's big play was called back. I will get the stats from the first game and put them on here. If I remember correctly I believe Vicars had 97 yards but i could be wrong. The problem with the running game here was simple. #1 NCC's passing was not there, for whatever reason. It is there now, not to the extend of last year by no means, but enough to stop them from stacking box like they did the last time we played. #2 They put 10 guys in the box after we scored in 3 plays running the ball. On top of that our coach pulled the fullback out and went to a spread trying to run. one less blocker against a couple more defenders.

This game will be won and NCC will run primarily. When they load the box Harris will throw and big pass plays will loosen the Defence up for the run. One more thing is Wes Deilh is back and healthy now also.

  13. your child will be sheltered if he cant go anywhere alcahol is served.

Have you ever been to a reds or bengals game. Are you limited to fast food and cracker barrel

even 90% of the church sponsored festivals serve alcahol. Your opinion is fine but to continue to bring up the point that the kids go to bw3 as a negative thing I beleive you will find yourself in the minority.
