  1. Things right come very easy for Chad ; so much so he has a tendecy to be lazy and not push his self. This country is full of 6'4" athletic players and those who seperate themselves from the rest are the ones who push and demand more of themselves in every situation; be it basketball or life.

Usually ranked top 3 or better in the state. Don't think any school in the state would turn him away. I would say he has separated himself very well. Good student also.

  2. tem·per·a·ment [/u]noun 1. the combination of mental, physical, and emotional traits of a person; natural predisposition.

    2. unusual personal attitude or nature as manifested by peculiarities of feeling, temper, action, etc., often with a disinclination to submit to conventional rules or restraints.

IMO, Jackson's temperament is fine. They don't call him smooth for nothing. Doesn't get rattled or shall I say, he doesn't let you see him get rattled. Every kid has their own unique personality. Why should he change who he is? Maybe you are trying to say something different. Care to elaborate?

  3. I just hope one program's slip ups don't cost others all around the state who actually get a legitimate transfer from time to time for other reasons than athletics.

ETA, I sure hope you have other things to do. I don't think I have read such posts from an individual (who doesn't know the FACTS) that is obsessed with this whole ordeal. Man, if they get eligible, you're gonna need some grief counseling. I got a name and number for you.;)

  4. Loose lips sink ships, this is from the KHSAA:

Because of public statements made by Clay Euton (the father of one of the students) indicating that his son’s transfer to Scott County was in whole or partly motivated by a desire to play basketball at the school as well as concerns involving the recent transfer of other AAU basketball teammates to Scott County, Dakotah Euton's request for a waiver of Bylaw 6 was denied.

    LINK

So what's the reason for Jackson?

  5. It was based on Mr. Euton's comments in the paper about taking a tour of the facility and all that junk. They will appeal and win the appeal based a lack of real substance.

Jackson's mom lived in Ashland with him but her husband lived in Lex and they were married. Since BOTH parents didn't change residence, that was the issue in question.

Shotwell's appeal was denied and was also ruled ineligible. Again, this had nothing to do with athletics but the family hadn't moved (couldnt sell their home) and couldn't afford the commute along with some academic problems.

WOW! You seem to have all the facts. Put in a call to Jackson's family and let me know what's for dinner tonight.:sssh:

  6. From a Xavier and UK publication

Along with his work on the AAU circuit, Jackson is also putting in time at his new high school to try and improve.

According to Jackson, competition was the main reason behind the move. "I transferred to Scott County," said Jackson. "Pretty much when I transferred there I was just looking for good competition day in and day out. Most people play games to get competition, but for me when I'm in the gym I will be going against good players all the time."

    No more questions Your Honor...

Provide a link. The quote seems a little "suspect".

According to Jackson, competition was the main reason behind the move. "I transferred to Scott County," said Jackson.

  7. Per the Herald Leader, Euton ruled ineligible to play for Scott County. Jackson ruled eligible. Nothing mentioned about Tanner Shotwell.

I am surprised as I expected the rulings to be Euton eligible and Jackson ineligible. Or both ineligible. Looks like the Eutons will appeal. My guess is the KHSAA reverses eventually and allows him to play in the end.

I just cannot understand Jackson. My understanding is his family (mom) lives in Scott County. He moved to Ashland to attend the Boys school there. Then was basically taken in by the Euton family. Both he and Euton played for Rose hill. Now his "caretaker family" moves to Scott County. Jackson moves home to live with his mom in Scott County.

HSBALL: I'll inform you that Jackson is not concerned whether you (or anyone else) "understands" or not. The problem with your comments and others is that you do not have the facts. You are stating simply what someone has told you or even what someone has stated on this site. Got news for everyone: People write things that aren't true on BGP!!!! I am sure one comment is very hurtful to the Jackson family. Chad's father is deceased. Any comments concerning his father is just plain outrageous!

  8. I don't think SC gives a hoot if you cheer for them or not. 2 or 3 people vs. the entire town...... I am in total agreement that if the entire family moves....case closed! This is America and if KHSAA cannot find any recruiting violations, you are free to move where you please. It is absolutely none of your business why a family moves. Period!:fight:

  9. Often people will swear up and down that they know something to be true when, in reality, they’re just passing on a rumor they’ve heard from someone else. Sometimes, a period where everyone is happy and getting along just seems kind of…dull. Spreading juicy dish might shake things up a bit and that would make life a little more exciting. :dancingpa

  10. I first want to say with out prejudice that I think Elliott Co. will represent the 16th well. They out played Rose Hill and made shots that they did not make in the All A game. Congrats to Coach Mays and the Sandy Hook boys.

As far as the coaching, I will say this, it would be easy for me to sit here and critize the coaching staff for my son sitting on the bench when they needed rebounding and scoring underneath. Mike ran the floor great last night, and came to play and I could not be prouder as a parent of my son for his performance while he was in the game. Especially compared to the game before. BUTTTTTTTTTT, I am more pleased that my son was able to play for a man like Tim Fraley, Clay Euton,John Bush and Coach Barber. They have helped my son grow as a player but more importantly as a man. I am not looking for Mike to play in the NBA, he may play at the next level but that is a few years away. When it is all said and done I hope he will remember the memories of his teammates and the experiences he has had.

I hope the team sticks together and grows together and will be a lot better next year. I know that Mike has made great friends and will stay friends with them no matter what the off season brings.

As for the season, the schedule was hard, the competition was great and it made them better. With everyone doubting them or rooting for them to lose most of the time on here and only the RH faithful standing behind them. Coach Fraley and the rest of the coaches rolled up their sleeves and kept working the boys and developing ALL their players into a TEAM that everyone that is involved with the school, program and families could be proud of.

THANK YOU SO MUCH ROYALS FOR AN ENJOYABLE SEASON AND BEST OF LUCK NEXT YEAR.

BTW, Good job again to Elliott Co and bes tof luck at RUPP. To all, remember that last night is the reason high school sports are so great.

WOW! Yep, Mike is a great kid. He is blessed to have 2 wonderful parents like yourselves.

  11. Great job Elliott County. Congratulations on the win. I absolutley believe Rose Hill is the better team. We didn't get the job done. It happens. One team has to win and the other will lose. Congratulations Rose Hill on a great season and we are very proud to have all of you represent our school. Thanks to the entire coaching staff. Thanks to the parents of these fine young men who have worked their behinds off all season. A special thanks to our senior player: Tony Arthur. He goes at it full throttle every game. What more can you ask for?? :flame:

  12. Congratulations Royals!!! What a comeback. You fought hard and NEVER gave up. I am so proud of each and every one of you. I also agree with the comments about the Bath County fans. Probably the most disrespectful I've seen this season. Anyhoo, JOB WELL DONE RH. I pray for strength and health to the team. Rest and enjoy.

  13. The 15U adidas OBC patriots

Lost to the DC assault in the championship game of the adidas Super 64.

Congratulations boys and coaches on representing Kentucky basketball.

Of the 10 national tournaments they played in they won 4, were runners-up 4 times and third 1 time. That means in 8 of the 10 tournaments they played in, they played for the championship.

Pretty big accomplishment for a bunch of boys from Kentucky.

A GREAT accomplishment for this super talented group of young men. They should be very proud of themselves. Maybe you all can come across another tournament to let the boys play one last time before school. :scared:

  14. People who think Fuller was intimidated don't know Michael Fuller. He had an off night. So did Bush, Malloy, and Arthur. I think the lay off hurt the Hill more than anything. Stringer is right, it is just one loss. Unfortunately for the 64th it will be one of just a few over the next several years.

In my opinion, RH has to get the ball to Fuller more often. If my recollection is correct, he didn't take a shot until 4th quarter.
