  1. Really? I thought that Ryle's seniors accounted for the bulk of their offense and defense. Most notably Murray and Gray.

Ryle's was mixed with talent. For the twenty seniors that are leaving they have 23 Juniors reloading for next year. 4 of the 5 ol were juniors, QB junior, WR jrs. Defensively will hurt to start off with, But Coach Woolf, Giron, and Harden will have it back and ready for the 07 season.

Raiders Great Job This SEASON, Seniors you will be missed. For the Underclassmen, as the raider tradition begins to unfold and develop, remember that with TRADITION COMES RESPONSIBILITY!!!!

    STAY HUNGRY

  2. You have to remember what is being built on Longbranch road also on the outskirts of Union that will dilute the talent pool even farther and it will open in 08

I heard the the open date has been moved back to 2010, because they arent sure what they want to do. This is just for fun, could you imagine, closing Conner, making boone into a middle school and then having just two high sschools?

  3. Hey guys, I dont think Nobiz was trying to insult in anyway, or maybe its just how you read his statment.

1.The Coach Nieme thing, I think he was implying that Coop Dog put him in a better situation. Coach has done a wonderful job as a principal. Many places would dump a coach after struggling, not promote. But hey Randy had a way of seeing the complete person and not just what you were there to do.

    2. Coach Warner, Like its been said Coach didnt have much experience, but again Randy being able to see the big picture understood what coach would bring to the table. I think what Randy saw is happening right now!

    3. Cornett?? Mr. Cooper had a way of trying to help those in need and build people into great positive individuals. "Raising" I think means that Coop tried to strip Cornett of the issues he had.

I'm not sure if I am reading it correct but that is what I get from Nobiz, if I am wrong then maybe I am naive. Anyhow Coop Dog THIS ONE's FOR YOU!

  4. Alabama Larry, hopefully my comments were not taken as a bash in anyway. Hey if we all could do it we all would. I commend male and trinity and X (dont want to leave anybody out) for their programs. When you look at KY high school football you start with these programs. I am unaware of all the obstacles that one must face in entering the schools. All I am saying is that in some way these schools have the pick of the crop as far as athletics are concerned. I'm sure you take any of these schools in NKY and put them into a system like the "big 3" and they would be able to take off as well. As a side note,I am glad to hear that you guys are playing with the Jefferson county boys. If you cant do it with your own then why do it?

  5. No reason for the smart mouth, I never said it was BAD find where I said that. I said it is not strong. and when 3A and in some cases 1A teams man handle some of the better teams in your district you can not say you are strong. The Louisville Region is the test you have to pass in 4A, much like the NKY region in 3A is the test you have to pass to be able to call yourself great, or Strong.

First is first, Lets see how the Raiders do against Trinity Thursday, I think we all may be surprised at what they bring to the table. FYI Ryle opens with Highlands next year at PBS. I guess the testing will begin for this team in three days!!!!

  6. There is NO WAY Ryle would still be playing...Yes they deserve to be where they are at, they won the games they were supposed to win. Would Ryle even be top 3 or 4 in Louisville, I doubt it! Ryle did manage to win a very competitive NKY AAAA, however after that they faced very average teams.

Give the Ryle staff the community of Trinity, and Male and you bet they would be in the top three of louisville. The fact is that they are getting it done with the players in their backyard, not the backyard's of other places and communitites. Would Trinity, X, and Male be who they are if under a system like Ryle's????

  7. Probably mean anything to you????????? Seriously I said "probably had more carries this year," and I also said, "Ryle didn't rely on Murray until late." Imply and Infer mean anything to you? Gray had more carries in the regular season than Murray. Murray isn't on anyone's radar because he didn't have the carries, he split them. He's also probably going to play college baseball somewhere.

This doesn't go hand in hand with the thread but interesting stat. Murray has now carried the ball 217 for 1681,

Farris from Boone finished the season with 225 for 1581. Imagine the numbers if he had gotten the ball earlier. WOW

    Go Raiders!!!!:thumb:

  8. Once again your comments are out of context. I did look it up, did you? If you did you'd see that you clearly stated "this year". "This year" doesn't mean "late in the year", it means "this year". I corrected you. I responded with facts. You commented that the facts were incorrect, I corrected you again. Those same facts were printed in the CJ this morning. I doubt that the kid is as fast as posted, but that is a common error on this site as I explained. Show me where I posted that Ryle "can't cover the routes". FYI, you didn't offend me. I just disagree with you and back my comments with stats and facts. I understand that you love the Murray kid, I just doubt that he is quite as spectacular as you claim. I just wonder how some RB/LB is 6'3" 220# and runs a legit 4.6 isn't on the radar screen of any recruiting site anywhere. He hasn't been offered by any D1 school that I can find (please correct me if I'm wrong). I'm sure the kid is a fine young man and a super high school football player. I wish him good luck.:thumb:

At the end of week 10 Gray carried the ball more than Murray

MURRAY, Vince Ryle 116 att 863yds 7.4 av

GRAY, Scott Ryle 159 att 862yds 5.4 av

Murray did not start getting the heavy load of carries until the playoffs. since the playoffs have started #2 has averaged about 26 carries a game witha a high of 30 something againt Dixie in Round 1

  9. I have been told that Minniefield runs a 4.6. I doubt that Murray is a legit 4.6. The speeds that people post on this site are absurd. One guy had a 2A school in central Kentucky with 3 sub 4.5 guys. Thats about how many they had at the Indy NFL combine.

Hey there it was on laser, I was there!!!!4.63, oh yeah Gray runs in the high 4.6s

  10. I have heard that Eastern has offered Full Scholarship and things are in the works for the Naval Academy. I am sure there are others interested, but haven't heard anything. The further the Raiders go more schools will come. but hey we're talking about a kid that didn't even make 1st team NKY. CRAZY!

  11. Let' s figure out who will be playing on the 30th before we start making bold predictions. Male was suppose to be the best team, but they are at home this week turning in equipment. Ryle needs to focus on Henderson, and Trinity needs to focus on HC and vise versa. As soon as one team overlooks another, that is when they get BEAT!

    Focus Raiders 1-0
