Well having watched both teams I must go with nets.I also watched the same game He watches at Mercer. I am sure there was some adjusting but, Morgan also shot themselves in the foot. Like Nets this is not to take anything frm Mercer. When playing an excellent opponent you can't let up. That kick with 4 secs in the first half was supposed to be a squib but the kicker did not understand that.But, all things said we lost.

Russell is without a doubt one of the best places to play. We went there 2 times last year,same result both times, but the atmosphere is great.The Russell fans are great. When they came to our "stadium" this year it was the same great feeling between fans.

I will say that if Mercer is to win,they will have to play a much better game than they did us. this being said:

Took over one of the worst football programs in KENTUCKY at any class. Has won 15 out of 21 football games with less numbers than teams mentioned.

 

Show me a team in the last 15 years with a worse record and quicker turn around. Also, continues to win games with injuries and in the last few weeks relying on a 3rd string QB.

 

With only a couple of weeks before last year's first scrimmage they were practicing with between 11 and 14 players and the program nearly folded...to see where this program WAS and IS now is nothing short of remarkable.

He also has changed the attitude of the players. They respect him and the game. Whether we win or lose we do so with class and our heads up.Before Coach Woods arrival the only team we beat for five years, I believe, was Betsy Lane. Now our boys truly believe they have a shot every time out. The record shows that they do.Taking a huge number with tons of talent and making them win is good. Taking little numbers with beaten kids and taking them to the playoffs back to back immediately is remarkable. He may not get it, but in Morgan County He is Footballs Coach...Man OF The Year. :thumb:

How is this the KHSAA's fault? Lets everyone call some evacuees and recruit them to our schools and then pay for their tuition. I feel for the kids in Louisiana, but he could attend any non-parochial school for free. Maybe he should go to Holmes. That would be free.

 

There should have been a window of opportunity to be ruled eligible if you are an evacuee. That window needs to be closed. The tragedy happened a few weeks ago. If they were going to evacuate and be ruled eligible for football they should have arrived at the school a couple weeks ago. Letting kids become eligible at any time during the season leaves room for some real shady recruiting opportunities. I don't feel this is the case in this situation, but a public education is free.

Yes the hurricane was a couple of weeks ago, but he disaster is far from over. I don't think any of us would like to know that we had two weeks to start over in our lives. This , as stated by others , is not recruiting. I t is compassion. This should be bigger than football rules. There are still hundreds of kids who can't even go to school. Let this kid play. It was not even possible for travel the first few days so how can you ask the kids to be enrolled when they couldn't even move. Come on
