    These two teams could play ten times and they would probably split. I would bet that if this game was played on October 8 and then again on November 8, Rockcastle County would win them both. Don't fret, Rockets...you'll be knocking on that 3A door come Thanksgiving.

     

    Nope the Sultan definitely sees Rockcastle losing those games also....

    The Sultan doesnt have to wait to make a prediction on what he sees as a classic mismatch- speed vs youth. These aint your daddys Rebels and those Titans are a mixture of your daddys dogs and uncles hogs. With a mastermind like Jaggers who has a natural beef against the rebels anyway (being a former coordinator coach for the Admirals). It should be a "How many points can I put on them attitude". The Sultan for one see the rebels dropping yet another game in the land of the Giants. Four in a row and people will start to wonder "Did Coach Smith see this coming? but dont feel sorry for the Rebels for they will bounce back. they have some nice young talent. So take your best shots this year.

     

    Now for the moment most have been waiting for...

    I would not bet the farm that LC will have that many turnovers next week. LCs Jr. class is motivated by a little stunt Rock pull on them at Rock when they were in the Middle school. Going to be a great game. LC 21 Rock 13.

     

     

    The Sultan loves MIDDLE school grudge matches. and since we are remembering the past... dont forget the beating at the hands of the Rock in Mt Vernon.:devil:

    This should be a close game. I think Rock will prevail due to Lincoln turnovers.

     

     

    Not so fast... The Sultan forsees a vast carpet of green laying before the talented backs of Miller and Calhoun. He hears the band striking up early and often with the grand ole flag. He hears the young men singing the fight song after the game screaming Go Red and White! French will be standing in front of his soldiers praising them as they hang on to the ball this week for the great captain will not see them play losing football again. Death Valley will once again gain prominence of a place where other teams tremble at the thought of playing there. The stone will quake and spew forth the ghosts of yester year as dominace once again returns to lead the Patriots to battle. Echos of the past Sims... Foster...Miller... Pennman... Wilkerson...Vanhook... Newcomb ... and Simpson will once again shake the field with a vengance.

     

    The Sultan for one will see the Rockets fall to a hungry Patriots team

    Yawn...The Sultan has risen from his slumber! (the heavens open)

     

    Hear the Drums?... The Death Valley Bowl returns and will be as hot as ever temperature wise that is... and yes the Great one will make his pridiction early.

    The talented Patriots will give PRP a run but will speed get the best of them? With French at the helm the Sultan says no!

    Good Job Lady Pats!!!!! Coach Story will have them in contention year in and year out. Not taking anything away from Coach Kolasa because I have known him for years and he is a class act. :thumb:

    Congrats to Diamond DON and the Lady Patriots! In his eyes there was never any doubt. Winning is just what he does, in life, in school, and in coaching. Diamond is one of a kind, and if you talk to him he'll tell you the same.

    I think it maybe a year for Lincoln County to win the region?

    Its hard not to like this guys thoughts. Can the Patriots handle the pressure of performing at a high level night in, night out? Jackson has a championship background so hopefully he can focus these young Patriots and keep them on the straight and narrow. They need consistent play from a group of young players with little experience if the Patriots have any chance. They are still a year away.

    Should be easy to pick the winner of this game, but lets see what everyone else thinks.

     

     

    The fast paced and aggressive style of the Patriots should provide a "shock and awe" style of play that should overcome the Jags. Lets see if the genius of the Patriots coaching staff can knock that preverbial monkey (a jaguar in this case) off their back. North has had Jackson and the Patriots number in recent years but the tide shall turn as the Patriots say good night and good luck to a former 12th region adversary.

    From the word, Calhoun had a whale of a game, as did Miller and Overstreet. Jackson has the boys playing lights out basketball. The highlight might have come from a miss on a three pointer and attempted put back by Calhoun. If he got up any higher he would have needed a pilots license. The invitation goes out to all those in the area to come out and catch the young Patriots as they head into hostile territory as the are put into the Lions den @ Garrard County High. Should be a titanic struggle for the teams and no love loss between the two.

    You must have been smokin some of that Bin Ladin stuff. I thought that you couldn't haunt, good or bad, something unless you were dead. Oh well though I enjoy reading pretty much everything you post!

    You are playing to much into the Ghosts thing... It is like that credit card commercial with Tom Brady and the lineman...Metaphors the Sultan is playing with Metap...How about Central is playing against the Tradition ...not only the Rebels Friday... And remember Tradition never dies. Gotcha there! :ylsuper:
