I saw quite a few watching Breathitt County over the years.

 

Two that stand out

 

1 - Jeremiah Chapman, a 5-8 160 lb CB, intercepted a pass against Whitesburg. During the runback, a Whitesburg O-lineman (pretty good sized guy) was closing in to make the tackle and instead of running out of bounds, Chapman just lowered his head and literally ran over the guy.

Sorry Pete W, I see you found out he did play in a Super Bowl, my bad.

While Unitas played for U of L he was from Pennsylvania and he never played in a Super Bowl.

I don't know about ever but this year in the Class 2A Regional Semifinals when Sheldon Clark beat Leslie Co. I thought that it was a pretty big upset.

What about Johnny U? He played at Louisville, where did he go to highschool at?

Paul Hornung was a member of the Packers 1966 Super Bowl I winning team, he was left unportected by Lombardi and was taken by the Saints in a supplemental draft after that year but never actually played for the Saints.

 

He also was a member of the Packers 1961, 62, and 65 NFL Championship teams (pre-Super Bowl).

Casey County lost 46 straight games in the 1990s.

Was last year their first winning season and where will they be district wise?

I would say so.

Kyle Nelson of Bell CO. 2 year starter, will be a junior and maybe the best in the mountains. I know he plays against much tougher opponents like: Highlands, Henry Clay, Rockcastle,Ashland,Southwestern Pul,Madison Southern,Boyd Co. just to name a few, passed for over 1500 yards as a soph, ,

Pikeville also plays on it.

Very nice looking group of young men on that list. Some VERY good players there. Congrats to all of them!
