  1. I really think that the Rocks put a big scare in Cincy St. X last year. I am not really sure about the Bombers taking Trinity for granted, but I do believe that last years team really benefited from playing Cincy St.X.

The Rocks always seem to get better every week as the season goes on.

In knowing that one of the Rocks offensive Starters played that night after he had lost his grandmother earlier in the day, just made the Rocks play that much more special to all the rocks fans.

Jimmy Ref you sure seem down on your Tigers, for their choice or lack of choice in their schedule for the 2009 football season, it is always good to hear from you on the Rocks BGP Post.

  2. Deed's was one of the starting defensive end's and Luke McDermott was the opposite defensive end. And Griffin started as the Right Offensive Guard all season and through the playoffs. Jimmy Ref, as you always say it is just an honor to be on the same field as the Rocks, at least get your facts right, Big Guy.

  3. HEY TIGER 1990,

I wonder why anyone would attempt to bash a couple of kids from the Rocks that have "THREE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP FOOTBALL RINGS". Both of these young men have done their job and both will go down in the Trinity History books as great players and leaders who bought into the Coach Beatty T-Rock system and both were members of the "Third Three Peat Team" from Trinity.

Kyle Griffin was named by the coaches as one of the Four Team Captions for the 2007 Football Season along with Wes Weitlauf, Will Stein and Nick VanWallington. If you would review the tapes of the 2006 St.X Trinity rain game when Superman scored Griffin was in on the block that started the very long touchdown run to score first.

I think that allot of you have forgot that Coach Beatty is still at Rock Heaven and as long as that continues the Rocks will end up #1

    #1 Trinity

    #2 X

    #3 Male

    #4 Ferncreek

    #5 Manual

    #6 Scott County

    #7 Henry Clay

    #8 Ballard

    #9 Paul Dunbar

    #10 Eastern

  5. I am usually very busy on the grille, I seem to only have time for Diet Mountain Dew and it has about all the kick that I can handle.

Rock4ever I am not sure if you are going to B/G but I hope to see you there. The weather could be a little damp in Bowling Green so you may want to bring your rain wear to protect you cell phone, it always seems to be floating in the rain/water. :dancingpa

  6. As long as Coach Beatty is at Trinity the string of Championships could go on forever, he just gets the most out of the talent that he has. I understand that the Freshman class is loaded from top to bottom from kids through the CSAA Football system. I think the defense will be very good from the line to the Safety. On Offense, the QB is doing fine, backfield with be even better than last year, and the offensive line which lost four starters, three of which were two years starters will start a bit slow but they will be just fine as the season goes on, there is allot of talent there just a bit unexpierenced. The kicking game is one we may have to worry about, but nobody ever said it was going to be easy. Go Rocks and win #19 and be the first four-peat team in Rock History.

  7. Seems to many Rocks fans that the third base player was lost in the lights for the whole season. He came in with allot of hype but being a sophmore was just to much heat for a this young man. He had to lead the team in errors and was at the bottom in batting percentage on the team. You cannot blame the third baseman for playing third base so deep, everybody knew that CAL was going to keep bunting, where was the coaching. A Trinity parent called this the Trinity Development Team of 2008. Boy does Stein, Netherton and Weitlauf look like brain surgeons for not playing their senior year. I wish the rocks the best in 09.

  8. Coach Beatty, has his kid's believing they can beat anybody and they can be beaten by anybody.

It appears to me that the Tigers come out from each preseason on a holy terror and just fade week to week as the season goes on. They are always so sure that they are the best team that they burn theirselves out before the playoffs even began. [iE] The 08 seniors did not order regular senior rings because they thought they were going to win the state championship.

Where as the Rocks play at a slower more consertative pace in the first part of the season, then they get everybody in the right spot and speed up a bit in the second part of the season and by the third part of the season (playoffs) they are just playing at a much faster pace then everyone else.

Beatty has made everybody believers and there are no favorites in rock land, he plays the best player at each spot no matter who their family is.

I do hope that X keeps Glazer around, but I see where all the old coaches at X are retiring or being pushed out a bit, but in his time he has been a pretty good coach.

  9. The two parents coach and are on the field at practice and have been seen in the dugout coaching players during games, and they can also be seen coaching batters in the on deck circle from the fence line.

Trinity does have a recent history of parents coaching during their kids during their playing days and then they disappear, or they are asked to leave when their kids graduate.

JR, it is amazing how much you seem to know and discuss about the issues concerning the Rocks. That is especially true with football and baseball. We all know you live and die for the Tigers, and rightfully so you have deep ties there. So how do you have so many thoughts about what is going on at Trrinity, just a friendly question that I had to ask. You must be at the Rocks campus more that at X.

I wonder if a former St. M football player was still playing baseball would we have seen what has gone on with this senior class since their sophmore year. I really doubt it.

  10. I do think that this is a season for the sophs at the corners (First & Third) to learn how to play high school baseball at the expense of the seniors and Trinity High School Baseball Team.

There also seems to be several football players not even going out for the team and the ones who did are sitting on the bench. Maybe the ones who did not go out knew what was instore for the rest of the seniors. How can you play for three years in the baseball program and not even get a chance to loose your position.

Something is amiss in Rock Land, thats for sure.

  11. This is the All-District Team for Class 6-A District 5, who made first team from Trinity, Does anyone have the honorable mention names, or know where they may be posted. Congrats to all! Seems that some names are missing? Stein?
