Do we have verification that anything was said to the cheerleaders by the team? If so I would like to know so I can talk to them myself.

Its on one of the threads here from a cheer mom. Her name is Pirate Pal. I don't know exactly what was said she just says it was too bad to repeat, nor would she repeat it.

Your right it will be a blood bath!!! SV will not win a game next year. They will be horrible. Belfry state championship days are over. When you don't have Howard and jones running the rock! Look for Sheldon Clark to be the team to beat next year!

This type of behavior doesn't supprise me after Belfry coming to Shelby Valley and warming up on the fields while senior night was going on and the parents of the soccer, football, track, cross country and Volleyball team were on the field. I told you that type of no class actions would catch up to you all! :sssh:

I think if you had READ back farther you would see the comments were made by Russell's team to Belfry's cheerleaders. :mad:

I will moste definately be there Friday! Im really wired too Red couldnt sleep if I had to heh.

We are so lucky to have a great ball game to enjoy this weekend! Both teams are great this year and have a great history between the two! Both teams have great fans that love their teams (that love to talk). Both teams have great kids that make up this classic game! Both teams have coaches that other programs can only dream of! This game will be decided by the team that makes the least amount of mistakes! Win or lose, I will walk away knowing that I had the chance to watch two of the best high school football programs in Eastern KY.

I really agree with your post, although I am a Belfry fan. but I am about tired of hearing the statement that this isnt the same Belfry team of the past two years. We all know that! It was known before the season started. Listen .. Belfry is 10-2 this season with a three headed running attack and one heck of a coach to boot. I just wish more people would quit using the statement that is obvious, every team is different from year to year, the key at Belfry is tradition, and thats something we have a ton of and when someone plays for Belfry they are not looking to past teams, they are just looking to represent the name on the front of thier jerseys and thier community and thats it. They dont want to be last years team, they want to be This! years team! :fight:

Ok Pirate Fans, we do need to do something this Friday night because we were horrible as fans during the Middlesboro game. I do not remember one time that the entire crowd stood up together and cheered on our team. It was like a UK basketball game, the geritol crowd must have not taken their vitamins before the drive to CAM Stadium because we were all (including myself) dead. We need to do whatever it takes to shake down the thunder this Friday night for all 4 quaters of the game and let our boys know that we are behind them 110%. Bring your cow bells, air horns, megaphones and expecially your big mouths and lets make the entire valley roar as we cheer our Pirates on to a 3rd strainght Regional Championship. I know we can do it. Hey, we may be at a new field but that Pirate Pride came with us. So Friday night lets show the boys that we are proud and ready to play another 3 more games before we hang up the pads this year.

I have been totally disgusted with the fans also. I was into the game Friday night and had my air horn that I felt like I paid a zillion dollars for because I lost my plastic piece from last year IT FROZE UP ON ME and quit working. It sounded like our embarassing DYING COW!!!!!! Are we going to have a pep rally Thursday night? We need to do something besides expect to show up for the game and walk away winners. Last year we had 2 or 3 pep rallys I think we need to do something of that sort Thursday also. I sat out with everyone else freezing my tail off and my mother and I screamed our heads off, her more than me. SO PLEASE PIRATES BRING YOUR MOUTH WITH YOU FRIDAY INSTEAD OF YOUR BLANKETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let me start by saying that I was surprised that Middlesboro didn't bring a bigger following with them, but the ones that were there were great fans. There couldn't have been 100-150 fans there and were louder and more supportive of their team than the 2,000+ Belfry fans...(but I won't even get into that :irked:) I hope that everyone made it home safely.

 

Middlesboro gave the Pirates all they wanted and honestly I don't think that we responded that well at times or quickly enough. This game had me scared in the first 2 quarters. I don't know if Middlesboro saved their best game for last, or Belfry saved one of their not so great games for tonight.

 

To beat Sheldon Clark next week we are going to have to play like I have seen Belfry play before....mistake free and aggressive.
