  1. I have to say though that Trinity's student section was a tad bit more dedicated tonight. Even amidst the torrential downpour there was a considerable contingent over there cheering like there was no tomorrow. While at the same time the St.X students had long since cleared out. Even when the rain got too bad for me in my poncho and I headed under the stands(after more than an hour out there mind you) the kids were still out there.

In fact at one point after the entire St.X student section had cleared the entire Trinity student section ran over to where the X seciton was and started cheering again for a little while. I must say that despite the rain I found that quite amusing. :D

It goes to show that maybe the Trinity students were not too smart last night! The lightning was striking and the security even tried to get those kids to go inside. I must say that I am glad the St. X students were smart enough to take cover!

  2. Sorry LSU for coming off kind of snobby. Still just frustrated. But I also understand that Trinitys JV had four practices for themselves just to prepare for St. X and had a scouting report as well. Of course, I will get the replys saying "well X could have done that too" and yes they could have but it would have been very diffifult and some players don't have enough time to do that with balancing schoolwork with football, so to put it into perspective, yes Trinity played juniors, as did St. X, Trinity just played more and theirs made a bigger impact on the game and thats how they come out with a win. If people realize this fact we could stop complaining and actually go plack to talking about the thing that is really important here, HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL.

  3. First, Petrino is a sophmore that is a reserve on the varsity. Petrovic is a junior that sees little to no varsity tme. Stein plays WR on the varsity (not a starter) and is the backup QB on varsity so he gets very little QB time on the varsity level. This is unlike the X QB situation where Zoeller was ahead of Wade last year and I believe whas the starter for the Tigers earlier this season.

Second, I noticed that sophmore Trevor Foy started and played the entire game for X. He also was the first D-lineman to rotate in for X in the varsity game with Highlands. He made a couple of nice tackles that afternoon. He may or may not be the only such player, I just noticed him wearing #93 today and #50 on varsity. You know what they always say... policies were made to be broken.:sssh:

First, Petrino plays both ways and is on almost, if not, all special teams, Stein does play many downs at W/O, and lastly, just so you know, Trevor Foy was DEFINATELY NOT the first to rotate in for the d-line, if your are talking about JV dressers to rotate in then, yes, he was, but Chris Jones, Zack Weiter, Chad Showalter, and Ricky Rayome all rotated in the whole game and he got in for ONE series and made ONE tackle, sorry for minimizing your exaggeration. :sssh: :sssh: :sssh:

  4. Really, some Moeller fans said that they had played St.X's JV on Friday. Are they confused?

The X web site has X at Moeller on 9/8.

You are correct. The JV team played Moeller Friday evening and about 40 people stayed over night to watch the Varsity on Saturday. By the way, the X JV team lost this game 7-0. (They were undefeated since freshmen year going into this game) It was a tough game - X fumbled on the 1 yard line.
