  1. The Tigers have signed Pikeville High School golfer Casey Castle, to play golf for them next season. I have watched this young man for a number of years and I'm glad he is getting a chaance to play at the collegiate level. He has all the credentials to do some big things for the Tigers.

According to the local newspaper here are is credentials:

member of 3 consecutive All "A" Regional Championship teams 2006,2007,2008

member of 3 Consecutive KHSAA Regional Championship teams 2006,2007,2008

2008 Pepsi Junior Golf Tour Gatorade Masters Division Player Of the Year

selected as a member of the 2008 Indiana\Kentucky Challenge Cup Team

ranked by the National Junior Golf Scoreboard in Kentucky as:

18th in the Class of 2009-----and #45 overall.

Looks like the Tigers got a solid player. Congrats Casey and good luck.:ylsuper:

  2. This type of behavior is uncalled for, but it happens all the time. My son plays alot of competitive golf. Alot of golf. All donations are appreciated. Ha.Ha. Anyway, if I saw him do this type of thing, he would'nt have to worry about his coach or a tournament official getting a hold of him, because Dad would be in his face in a second. If you can't control your emotions then golf is not the sport for you to be playing. This game requires mucho patience and perseverance. A level head is a must in order to be successful.

  3. The best golfer no one's heard of, has to be Casey Castle of Pikeville. He has quietly built himself a reputation as a solid golfer. He recently was selected to play on the Kentucky Team in the Indiana/Kentucky Junior Cup Challenge. He was paired with his good friend Jared Flanery Of Eliot County in the tournament. They shot a respectable 1 under par for the 36 hole event. the Kentucky boys lost by 10 strokes. Casey is also the co-champion of the Pepsi Junior Golf Tours Gatorade Masters Division. This division used to be called the Pepsi GenX Tour. Players must play from the back tees on this tour.

  4. The Pikeville Panthers are returning 4 of 5 players from last year. Pikeville has won the 11th region the past 2 years ( 2006 & 2007.) They have also won the 15th Region All "A" the last 2 years (2006 & 2007.) They finished 3rd at the 2007 All "A" state tournament and 16th at the KHSAA State tournament. They have a solid team led by senior to be Casey Castle who won the All "A" 15th individual title in 2007. Baring any unforeseen circumstances there could be a threepeat in 2008 for both regional tournaments for the Panthers.

  5. This is sad. I can't help but wonder if............. the new coach whoever that may be, comes in and all the players stay, lucas and patterson come, along with the other 2 recruits. and he takes this team that Tubby built and goes to the final four or wins a national championship, will it be his team or Tubbys that wins.
