  1. goldenrule 19, I'm wondering if you would be so forgiving if he was selling crack cocaine to your child and be so eager to congratulate him on a state championship.... he was charged with distributing cocaine on school property and yes he's young but an adult. Your comments, goldenrule 19, have me curious about your other 18 rules.

  2. Decker played under control and hit some big jumpers but South Oldham's point guard got to the basket more often. The game was really won on the boards the South Oldham big men controlled the game on the glass. S.O. also did a nice job handling the pressure from PRP that bothered most other teams.

Decker won the point guard battle he controlled the game by keeping it close without his running buddy Adam Delph. Decker kid had 33 points in the game by hitting 5 threes in the game.

  3. PRP was missing three starters for the S. Oldham game and had a prior morning game with 7 players present... Good "summer ball" victory but might want to keep it in perspective. Hopefully see you again in L.I.T. or K.O.B.

Who won the point guard match-up between Stiles and Decker?? Stiles is quick. Is he a senior? Does one of the big guys play for Derek Smith? I didn't get his #no. He was solid.

I need to give props though... best team from any of the Oldham county schools I've seen in a couple years.

Adam delph was on the bench with a deep thigh bruise from two games prior. Are you sure about PRP attending S. Laurel tournament?? What about the point guard match-up??

  5. I would say it is a money thing. To be honest with you. Most of all the officials at the camp are not from Lexington. There was only two from Lexington last year. That is what Lexington teams say when they come to Louisville. This is my 23rd year and I have never seen that type of hatred in AAU. What will the panthers return this year prppride. Mabrey is one of my favorite coaches. I know he knocks the Sweet 16 refs every year but I still respect the guy.

The previous comments were from my son. I try to enjoy the games and not get too caught up in finding fault or excuses. PRP has:

    - four seniors-two were starters last year, two did not see substantial playing time.

-five juniors-one was a starter, and all saw playing time with a couple starting on occasion.

-couple of sophomores-not much p.t. so far this summer.

We need Al Murry back and healthy. He has surgery on the 13th for a torn ACL. We are also missing Zach Cox who is playing baseball. Brandon Newman (football player) Jr. will be a role player down low.

Lex. Cath beat us like a tied-up goat for our first loss this summer. We looked rough at times the last two summers and made it to semi's for state.

  6. I see only two Louisville Schools in it this year. I think the low turnout from Louisville has more to do with travel time than anything else. There are games closer to Louisville. The Frankfort event being on of them. Since the Move to lexington it seems like the number of Louisville schools in state AAU has dropped each year.

The reason many louisville teams are not going to be in it this year is because of how the Refs show favorism when there there is a lousiville team playing against a lexington team i know lexington people won't admit it but lets get real.

  7. Is there a difference in the 15th and 16th regions as far as talent goes??

Take a look at the massey ratings fellas and you'll see what I mean. Your top teams wouldn't make top 5 in the 11th, 7th, and 6th regions. In some aspects you all are lucky you have such an easy road to Rupp Arena. But that's the state tournament set-up.

  8. Its great to see so much input from so many fans from both sides from such a weak region. The 16th region is so very lucky to be playing the 1st region in the first round (another very weak region). But look out for the second round weak region fans, a beat-down is coming. Its gonna make "yall" look forward to baseball by half-time.
