CC is very well coached and have 2 of the better girls in NKY in Clos and Schwarber. They play hard and smart. Impressed tonight with Schwarbers shot. She's really improved it. Clos had 2 girls in her grille all night (Jones/Gilliam). She still had 20. Alot of them came in the 4th. I thought SK actually played well. They are definitely better in an up and down style. When they can turn the heat up and create turnovers they can put points on the board in a hurry. Harney had a good night 4-8 from 3. Meier was a huge mismatch for CC and it showed with 25pts. I thought Jones played alot actually, first and second half. She was all over Clos. Like you said she didn't start but last game i saw she wasn't starting then either. And of course Niece got her usual 18 and 6. She's one of the stronger guards i've watched. She'll do good things at NKU. Buckner seems to be getting closer to being back to her old self. Good to see. They'll need her length.

What team Saturday?
Montini Catholic out of Chicago. Posted in another thread.
-
I think the Chattanooga teams players were ranked a lot higher than even the Chicago team and they had more D1 kids. They have a 6'6" freshman that starts and is number 1in the nation in her class! They also had 4 other 6 footers and one of them is their starting PG! Oozing with athletes.
Both teams were loaded with talent. Would've been a fun game to watch if they played. Montini beat a great Pickerton team later yesterday. Mercer Co. played Hamilton tough it seems by the score.
Hamilton Hts is 5th in nation.
Montini is 12th in nation.

Jordon not playing with Premier?
Jesse James, any other NKY girls you eyeing for a Premier or EYBL spot?

It was sarcasm, I love the 3 guards who would not, all 3 are classy individuals as well and will play college basketball. The aggravating part is when a coaching staff gets up in front of their peers at a banquet and tells everyone there in the speech that an all region player was asked to come to Simon, blatantly lets everyone know. With their line up they have a shot at the state tournament in my opinion. It just gets old to hear that another girl wants to come to Simon. I really believe that if they are in the 9th region they don't get as many kids, they assume they can have an all star team and win the 8th, I think that has happened one time, and a technical foul helped that one. Had the best team by 20 points plus last year and could not get it done, so it appears they went and got another play to help make it happen.
8th Region Warrior, I know the exact speech you are speaking of. What you may not know is that that coach was talking about keeping that "all region player" in his program. She lived in the district and was thinking of going to another high school in another county to play with friends and Coach Stowers talked her into staying in the SK district. I feel there is a big difference in recruiting a player from another district/school system to come to your school and talking one into staying home and playing for your school. I've heard this story before and know that it wasn't what it seemed or sounded like.

I'll try to answer these comments
Heartbreaker - I think the Buckner girl is out.
No im not a parent. Don't even have a relative that plays. Probably unusual for someone to post like this but I'm new to it
Dixie. - Lol. ??? I'm assuming your saying I'm 100% wrong? Or which point?
Sk a great pressure defensive team last year?
They shouldn't feed the post and take advantage of one of the biggest centers in the state?
Their a great 3 pt shooting team?
Adding the new player adds a tremendous amount to this team?
Passtheball
Yes. I agree from what I have heard. I think I was attempting to say that with harney on board, Jones having a year of maturity and the other two that have started previously year this adds missing tool for the old toolbox.
Watchmen, you are absolutely correct! 1) Buckner is out.... for now. 2) SK didn't and couldn't play pressure D last year. They haven't for a couple years now because of Personnel. They also aren't that great of a 3 pt shooting team even though some think 30-33% makes one a great threat. Your great shooters are nearing 40% or better. And adding Harney does add a tremendous amount to this team. She's tenacious on D, she shoots the ball well and handles the ball real well. Should be interesting in how this team gels.

"We also shouldn't be naive. This list is meant to promote his camp and give a reason for parents to want to send their kids there"
Knocked that one out of the park!
Agreed but do see several girls that are on it that have never been to his camp. Niece from SK is one I believe. A couple others as well.

Not what I heard from those who are close to the situation but okay if you say so.
From what I heard and this is from a reliable source, the final 3 were Flynn, Shumate and Carr.
I'm his wife... Better source than you have..

Fast Facts
Brad Carr attended Highlands for a few years back in the 80's but transferred back to Holmes.
He also applied for the Highlands job 4 yrs ago and from what I hear made the very short list. How much better would the Bird program be if he would have been named HC? Hmmmmm
Once again, Qrych, Brad Carr did not apply for the Highlands job 4 years ago!

Way to go Scott Eagles, Tyler Buckner and Coach Carr!!!!! Great win!

Good Going Boys and Coach Carr!!!! Keep it up!
