Send game film to any school you want. They won't be missed if they can play.
Exactly, recruiting coordinators and position coaches watch almost all scout film that comes in the door. The only players being "missed  " are ones not actively advertising themselves, sending out film, a bio page, etc. Outside of the mega powers, most programs look for the diamond in the rough kids.

Or KJ Black?
It is the belief and many (including myself) that he'll be asked to switch positions. Of course, that does depend greatly on who the new Offensive coordinator is.
-
Savko, he waited his turn and knew the system very well. I've met Brad, and he's a great young man, from what little I've seen him in last years spring practice, he's one of the most poise QB's with great decision making skills. Of course he sat out this past season due to transferring. I hope he and Brandon Smith are given their fair shots over Mr. Overrated from Notre Dame.

Solidify their defense and they'll be pretty good.

Yeah, most of the cream of that class is/was the cream of the current 2A class, so Tilghman essentially gets a class drop.
It was known and discussed before all the re-classification started that their enrollment had been steadily decreasing. There was a slight feeling even then, that they were going to drop to 2A in the 4 Class system.

Webster is certainly capable of winning this game.
Couple of things to remember about Caldwell, though. Cameron Williams did not play last week against Muhlenberg South and the rest of the team kinda phoned it in. Two weeks ago, Rodney Bell did not play at Heath.
Also, once Caldwell matched Webster's intensity in the first meeting, the Tigers outscored the Trojans 41-7 and won 48-28.
If the Tigers don't show up for this one it could be close.
I don't see Webster's defense slowing down Caldwell's offense. However, I could see Webster's offense maintaining control of the ball most of the night and keeping Caldwell's offense off the field.
I just don't think Webster can score enough points to stay with the Tigers.
Caldwell 35-21.
I also believe despite the weather, Caldwell struggled defensively against Option oriented offense of Muhlenberg South and Heath. Webster is very vanilla making them easy to prepare for, especially a second time.

What is his number?
42, I believe. You may be thinking of #4 Adam Beck, if I was guessing.
-
I guess I should have noted that Cameron Williams did not play for Caldwell. He rested a sore ankle from last week's game at Heath. Had the conditions have been better he probably would have played.
Both teams had players out. Senior Adam Boyd starter at MLB was out with a torn MCL from the Trigg game last week.

Tough game in tough weather, it was plain nasty. About 12 people in attendance? It was a fun game to watch, really didn't know what would happen next.

Muhlenberg South

Because it's a basketball town. Same as Muhlenberg County and Fulton County
Don't combine Muhlenberg South with Muhlenberg North. People over at South do care about their program and kids, they have good attendance and are building a new lockerroom and weight room. There are no similarities between the two. Steve Sparks tells his players not to play football @ North, it isn't the case at South.
South just isn't good right now, but they've got good numbers and good young players.

On top of the offensive struggles for Russellville, there were a lot of penalties and miscues for the Panthers. Late season mistakes that shouldn't take place like 12 players on the field, or getting the offensive play calls in late and players not knowing whether they should be on the field. Once Metcalfe got up by 21, the Panthers started hanging their heads a bit and Metcalfe kept comin'. I hope the Ville can gain a grip on their offensive identity, because they've came out of the gates slow several times this year on the offensive side of the ball, speed kills though, and they got that.
For Metcalfe, they are pretty solid, they just do what they do and dare you to stop them. Base run plays like Iso, Sweep, and Power, mixed with play action. Warfe (sp?) is a good QB, and their line keeps firing off and wears opponents down on both sides. They have a decent passing game.
Neither team looked to have much quality depth. Metcalfe is solid but from looking at the sideline they are an injury away from trouble. Russellville isn't much better, but they do have some depth in the skill player department. Either way best of luck to both of them...it was a good game atleast in the first half.

Given the talent that's gone through Fort Campbell in the last five years and Muhlenberg South's continued problems, I don't know that the 246-7 margin is all that out of line.
I think it's a little of both. Turn of the century, Muhlenberg South was a competitor in the district and partly based on their talent. The big running back Josh Winn, and big line's led by current Hilltopper Kale Butler, they hit an absolute talent drought. This region runs in waves outside of a couple of teams.
-
Fort Campbell has won the last five games over Muhlenberg South by a total of 246-7.
FC is either good or bad, not between from my experience with them. So next time their in a funk 'ala most recently 2001, they shouldn't be upset when current district bottom feeders try to hammer down on the scoreboard.

Ok...Did Caldwell's D-Line dominate? Or was it Trigg's mistakes?
Trigg couldn't run the ball and that was the difference, along with their mistakes in the first half that led to 10 first half points for Caldwell.Yes, but Trigg's running game was non-existent. Caldwell's front seven dominated the game. -
This so called coach is making a joke of himself, statewide. Wonder if the AD has the sand to do anything about his comments.
-
Maybe I mistyped. Perhaps they don't represent the entire region of Western Kentucky football, but, how many state titles has Western Kentucky taken home in the last few years? I just think western kentucky football OVERALL is below par with some other areas of the state. I don't think this area's football is as good as it used to be.
I think some of the "big names" are down so it's considered everyone is down.
-
I don't think this county championship means anything anymore. You've got Reidland, (less than average year in and year out, with the exception of a team about 4 years ago), then Heath and Lone Oak, who are both about average. Neither of which is likely to play past the first round of the watered down playoff system. Looks like another year of overall bad western kentucky football, so who really cares?
The Paducah schools classify the entire state of Western Kentucky football?
-
Any thoughts, comments or predictions ?
I believe the loser of this game will not reach the playoffs. This shapes up to be a really interesting game. Lone Oak struggled last week on the road at Caldwell County. Running the football is Lone Oak's achilles heel. They have the ability to put up lots of points thru the airways but must find a way to get the ground attack going or its going to be tough scoring points against a team with a solid defense. Heath seems to be improving each week & has a talented running back (Chad Wright). However, I think Coach Haskins gets his troops going & Lone Oak wins.
Typically, you can throw out all rankings and what not in rivalry games. This year Lone Oak should handle Heath easily.
-
I've been holding my cards on Lone Oak up till after this game. I know they are good, but a win over or a close thriller against Marshall would tell the tale. :thumb:
-
IMO I've never thought lack of talent was the problem @ Breck. Lack of consistency and effort was, the times I played against them or watched them play over the years.
-
What team and I might be able to help you out?
Actually I wanted Region 1 in all classes. :thumb:

Tilghman has three. They'll be 3A, D1
Who was the strongest player to ever play Kentucky high school football?

Caudill is the first that comes to mind for sure. What a beast.
